Abstract: Neuro-ophthalmology, vestibular, ocular and oculomotor assessment systems using both unmodified and modified off-the-shelf virtual reality and mobile computing device connected and configured for those assessments, resulting in significant cost reductions per system. Unmodified systems using mobile computing device sensor data and user response for the assessments, and modified systems having electrooculogram electrode and/or photo sensors for electrooculogram signal recording, electrooculogram analysis synchronized with the virtual reality display, and additional modified systems for precise eye tracking. Additionally, specific methods of use for each system, and combinations of them, to assess balance, convergence, visual fields deficits, extra-ocular movement, tracking and targeting, and vestibulo-ocular reflex, among others.
