  • Publication number: 20220208368
Abstract: A portable configuration tool for configuring a headwall unit that is adapted to be electrically coupled to an outlet on a headwall communicates with a room device positioned within a common room with the headwall unit. The tool includes a housing, a transceiver for communicating with a portable computer, IR and RF transceivers for communicating with the headwall unit, and a controller adapted to receive a command from the portable computer that instructs the controller to transmit an initial message to the headwall unit using the infrared transceiver, receive an identifier from the headwall unit via the infrared transceiver that uniquely identifies the headwall unit, establish a communication link between the RF transceiver and the headwall unit, receive a configuration setting from the portable computer via the transceiver, and transmit the configuration setting to the headwall unit via at least one of the infrared or RF transceivers.

  • Patent number: 10701484
Abstract: A system and a method provide for protecting a loudspeaker from thermal and/or mechanical failure by monitoring for over-temperature and over-power conditions. The system generates a first gain from a first speaker protection controller in response to a driving voltage and/or a driving current of a loudspeaker, and generates a second gain from a second speaker protection controller in response to the driving voltage and/or a driving current of the loudspeaker, if the temperature exceeds a thermal limit or if the power exceeds a maximum power. The system applies the second gain to an audio signal to lower the audio signal if the first speaker protection controller fails.

  • Patent number: 7590248
Abstract: A method for generating a head related transfer function comprises downconverting each of a plurality of measured impulse responses from a first sampling frequency to a second sampling frequency and then converting each downconverted impulse responses to a set of head related transfer functions. Coordinate conversion can then be performed on each set of head related transfer functions. The converted sets of head related transfer functions are then averaged to generate one average head related transfer function. The average head related transfer function can be decimated to fit a filter engine of a target system.
