  • Publication number: 20240138668
Abstract: Provided is a method, performed by an augmented reality (AR) device, of measuring a user's vision. The method includes: obtaining, by using a camera of the AR device, a background image including an image of at least one physical object; identifying an edge of the image of the at least one physical object in the background image; determining a first region for measuring the vision of the user on the background image based on the edge of the image; determining a second region corresponding to the first region on a display of the AR device; outputting a virtual object for measuring the vision of the user to the second region; obtaining a user input signal for vision measurement after the outputting the virtual object; and determining a vision prescription value of the user based on the user input signal.

  • Patent number: 11924536
Abstract: Provided is an augmented reality device including a variable focus lens, an eye tracking sensor configured to emit light to eyes of a user, receive the light reflected by the eyes of the user, and detect a plurality of feature points based on the light reflected by the eyes of the user, and at least one processor configured to obtain information with respect to eye relief, which is a distance between the eyes of the user and the variable focus lens, based on position information of the plurality of feature points detected by the eye tracking sensor, obtain information with respect to a gaze point at which gaze directions of the eyes of the user converge, and an interpupillary distance of the eyes of the user, based on the plurality of feature points, and determine a position of a focal region of the variable focus lens based on the information with respect to the eye relief, the gaze point, and the interpupillary distance.

  • Patent number: 11885365
Abstract: An apparatus providing mating alignment between internal threading of a rivet nut and the external threading of the mandrel of an unclaimed installation tool before anchoring the rivet nut in a hole in a substrate, or the external threading of an unclaimed threaded fastener after anchoring in the substrate hole. The improvements include a bushing sleeve seated in a counterbore in the rivet nut, for guiding the external threading of the mandrel or fastener to the internal threading of the rivet nut. The sleeve also enables play during upset of the rivet nut, and provides visual confirmation whether the rivet nut has been properly anchored in the hole of substrate.

  • Publication number: 20230400369
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to an electronic strain sensor, a system incorporating the sensor, and a method of manufacturing the sensor. The present disclosure also relates to methods of measuring one or more physiological parameters of a living subject, or methods of diagnosing a sleep-related disorder of a living subject, the methods comprising sensing a signal produced by the living subject with the electronic strain sensor or system. The strain sensor comprises: an electrode layer printed on a substrate, a sensing layer printed on a portion of the electrode layer, and an encapsulation layer encapsulating the electrode and sensing layers. The electrode layer exhibits a sheet resistance less than that of the sensing layer, and the sensing layer is in direct contact with the electrode layer. The sensor's electrical resistance can be increased through forming microscopic cracks in the sensing layer in response to forces applied to the sensor.

  • Patent number: 11694190
Abstract: In an example embodiment, the user initiates a digital wallet transaction at a point of sale (“POS”) terminal of a merchant system. The POS terminal receives payment account information options associated with the user's digital wallet account from the account management system to display to the user. The user selects one or more payment account information options via a user interface of the POS terminal. The account management system receives an indication of the user's one or more selections, generates one or more payment tokens based on the corresponding selected payment account information options, and transmits the one or more payment tokens to the POS terminal for use in a transaction. The POS terminal communicates with one or more issuer systems associated with the selected payment account information options to process the transaction using corresponding payment tokens. The user receives a transaction receipt at the POS terminal.

  • Publication number: 20230030356
Abstract: Methods and systems for tracking a package within an area obtain package identification information from a scannable medium associated with the package and image information of the area acquired by an optical sensing device. Image processing detects the presence and location of an object in the area that matches the package based on a comparison of the package identification information obtained from the scannable medium with the image information of the area acquired by the optical sensing device. The package is registered as being present in the area at the location of the detected object in response to detecting a match between the object and the package.

  • Publication number: 20230001543
Abstract: A bonded abrasive article comprises a plurality of abrasive particles, each particle having a coating of a catechol-like polymer resin on one side. The bonded abrasive article also comprises a phenolic resin binder that forms a bonded abrasive matrix of the bonded abrasive article. The plurality of abrasive particles are retained in the phenolic binder.

  • Patent number: 11374943
Abstract: A bundle of public counters and a corresponding bundle of private counters are created and transmitted to a user device. The user device receives a request and processes the request without accessing a secure element processor on the user device. The user device calculates a security code using the private counter and a number. The user device transmits the calculated security code and one of the bundle of public counters in response to the request. A receiver of the response to the request determines the validity of the public counter and looks up the corresponding private counter using the public counter. The receiver determines the validity of the security code by recomputing it using the private counter and the number.
