  • Patent number: 7058442
Abstract: A method for recording into a memory of a cardiac event recorder, in which the memory of the cardiac event recorder includes a manual trigger memory and an auto-trigger memory, with the auto-trigger memory being partitioned into a plurality of auto-trigger recording partitions, the method includes the steps of continuously recording signals, in the event of a manual trigger, acquired from the manual trigger or the auto-trigger in the manual trigger memory, and copying the signals acquired from the auto-trigger from the manual trigger memory to a partition of the auto-trigger memory.

  • Publication number: 20040179664
Abstract: A transtelephonic process and storage apparatus (10) for use with a blood sugar monitor or like standalone monitoring apparatus having an output port to download acquired digital data signals is disclosed. The apparatus (10) has a memory (18), a controlling (14), a transducer (17) and an output (12), wherein the downloaded acquired digital is converted into audio transmission signals by the transducer (17), and the audio transmission signal is stored in memory (18) for delayed transmission over a telephone network.

  • Publication number: 20040156488
Abstract: A method synchronous parallel transmission of digital signals over a telephone line is disclosed. The method includes the steps of generating a synchronization signal having at least two frequencies (6 and 7), simultaneously generating data signals having at least two separate frequencies from the digital signals, converting the synchronization signal and the data signals into audio signals having frequencies corresponding to frequencies of the synchronization signal and the data signals to be transmitted over the telephone line and transmitting at least three frequencies of the audio signals simultaneously over the telephone line.

  • Patent number: 6730025
Abstract: A hand held, portable and multipurpose medical device for biological signals acquisition, display and storage. The device includes a multipurpose computerized apparatus (2) which is primarily used for computer games as well as a biological signals acquisition module (1) which uses a plurality of biological sensors (6). A cartridge (4) used in conjunction with the computerized apparatus is pre-programmed and includes a read only memory (ROM) for storage of the program and a random access memory (RAM) for storage of acquired data. The acquired data in one form is an ECG and the apparatus simultaneously acquires and displays the ECG waveform in “real time”. Multiple memories in the apparatus are used for storage of the acquired ECG and to enable output to a printer (8) for hard copy or to a PC for analysis and reporting.

  • Publication number: 20040035423
Abstract: A diagnostic medical device which monitors physiological parameters during sleep is disclosed. The device includes mask means (2) adapted to fit over the nose and mouth of a patient being monitored, and an acquisition unit (5) is adapted to be removeably fitted to the mask means (2). The mask means (2) has inlet means (3) to allow the patient to breath, sensor means (8) which monitor physiological conditions and which provide physiological signals thereto for storage or real time data transmission to external devices.

  • Patent number: 6485416
Abstract: A physiological monitoring apparatus comprising a cellular phone handset connected to a cellular phone network is disclosed. The handset includes a removable battery container (12) having a physiological monitoring device (14) contained therein as well as a battery power source (13). The battery power source (13) provides power for the operation of the handset (11) as well as providing power for the physiological monitoring device (14). The battery container (12) has detectors (15) located on its outer surface, communicating with the physiological monitoring device (14) through apertres in the battery container (12). Acoustic coupling means (18) are adapted to couple tones produced by the physiological monitoring device (14) with a sound microphone of the cellular phone handset. The physiological monitoring device (14) is activated by placing it against the chest of a patient and the cellular phone handset is used to connect to a remote monitoring station via the cellular phone network.
