  • Publication number: 20210324720
Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods and systems for hydrofracturing processes utilizing native drilling cuttings to enhance wellbore permeability. The native drilling cuttings are obtained during drilling operations and may be used in hydrofracturing applications without further grinding or processing. The native drilling cuttings can be combined into a slurry and injected into a well for the hydrofracturing application. In some cases, the native drilling cuttings are dried before combining them with the slurry.

  • Publication number: 20190143171
Abstract: A back stretching apparatus includes an upstanding frame defining a stretching zone wherein a user can move a pair of lightly weighted hand grips between an overhead reaching position and a bent over stretched position. A light weight resistance is provided by a weight stack carried within upright frame members and interconnected by an internal pulley and cable system. A stabilization bar is disposed forwardly of the upright frame members and provides the user a target for the stretching and stabilization of the user in the stretched position. The light weight resistance permits the user to stretch their back muscles without exertion to limit the likelihood of back injury.

  • Patent number: 9543049
Abstract: An apparatus for holding radioactive objects includes a base and a central pillar extending upwardly between a bottom end coupled to the base and a top end above the base. A plurality of inner segments are spaced around the central pillar, and a plurality of outer segments are spaced around the inner segments to form pairs. The inner segments, the outer segments and the central pillar may be coupled together to permit limited radial movement of at least one of the segments of each pair. Each pair may define a generally vertical, object-receiving channel arranged between the inner and outer segment of the pair. The segments of each pair may be adapted to bear against an object in the channel of the pair to laterally restrain the object and facilitate heat transfer from the object.

  • Publication number: 20140278118
Abstract: A system and method for attenuating noise in seismic data representative of a subsurface region of interest including receiving a seismic dataset representative of seismic signal or seismic noise and a seismic dataset representative of seismic signal and noise, transforming them into a domain were they have sparse or compressible representation, comparing the sets of coefficients to identify desirable coefficients in the set of coefficients representing the signal and noise dataset, selecting the desirable coefficients to produce an improved set of coefficients, and inverse transforming the improved set of coefficients to produce a modified seismic dataset. The modified seismic dataset may be noise-attenuated seismic data or may be a noise model that is subtracted from the original data to produce noise-attenuated data.

  • Publication number: 20060193205
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for arriving at true relative amplitude destretched seismic traces from stretched seismic traces. The method compensates for offset varying reflection interference effects due to normal moveout. Stretch factors ? and also input spectra are determined for NMOR stretched seismic traces. Estimates are then made of stretched wavelet spectra from the input spectra. A destretched wavelet spectra is then obtained. Shaping correction factors are determined by taking the ratio of the destretched wavelet spectra to the stretched wavelet spectra and are applied to the input spectra of the stretched traces to arrive at a destretched trace spectra. True relative amplitude scaling factors are computed by taking the ratio of a true relative amplitude property of the destretched wavelet spectra to a corresponding true relative amplitude property of the stretched wavelet spectra.
