  • Patent number: 10893241
Abstract: There is described a portable reactor system and computer program product. The system allows an operator to remotely monitor and control the chemical processes of a laboratory reactor on an interface device such as a tablet, remote computer or smart phone. At any time, live video of the reactor can be viewed. The temperature of the reactor, temperature of a bath surrounding the reactor, agitator speed of the blade or impeller in the reactor, conductivity of the reactor contents and pH of the reactor contents can be remotely controlled and monitored.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 17, 2018
Date of Patent: January 12, 2021
    Assignee: Xerox Corporation
Inventors: Harry P. Latchman, David T. Borbely, Mihaela M. Birau

  • Patent number: 9304418
Abstract: A system for pigment milling includes a pulsing direct current (DC) source that generates a DC pulse, an electromagnetic field generating subunit that includes an electromagnetic coil coupled to the pulsing DC source to receive the DC pulse and to generate a magnetic field, and a rotating container subunit that includes a container for holding magnetic particles and ink pigment particles in an ink carrier, and a rotating subunit to rotate the container. A portion of the container is disposed within the electromagnetic coil and generation of the magnetic field causing motion of the magnetic particles thereby dispersing the ink pigment particles within the ink carrier.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 24, 2014
Date of Patent: April 5, 2016
    Assignee: XEROX CORPORATION
