  • Publication number: 20230275477
Abstract: An apparatus for the conversion of energy has a rotatable rotor mounted within a stationary stator. The rotor has a main rotor portion and several rotor magnet assemblies mounted for radial, reciprocating lateral movement relative to the main rotor portion. Each rotor magnet assembly includes a movable arm and a rotor magnet mounted to the outermost end or outboard end of the arm. The stator includes a peripheral mount or housing and a series of stator magnets coupled to the peripheral housing. The stator magnets has the same polarity as the adjacent rotor magnet. • Publication number: 20210325899
Abstract: A system includes one or more processors configured to determine a discharge rate associated with discharging material from a hauling machine. In some examples, the system receives sensor data associated with a crushing machine configured to receive the material. Based on the sensor data, the system determines the discharge rate, to optimize the efficiency of the crushing machine. In some examples, the system determines the discharge rate based on input by an operator via a user interface. In some examples, the system determines an angular rate at which to raise a bed of the hauling machine to cause the material to be discharged at the discharge rate. Based on a determination to discharge material, the system causes the bed to be raised at the angular rate to discharge material. In some examples, the system may update the discharge rate based on additional sensor data and/or an additional operator input.

  • Patent number: 10438511
Abstract: A spine surgery modeling system simulates the spine with various vertebral body or disc conditions and allows a user to make adjustments and examine the three dimensional outcome of such adjustments. The spine surgery modeling system includes a spine model and a drive mechanism. The spine model has vertebral bodies and a disc space defined between adjacent vertebral bodies. The drive mechanism includes a worm gear, a worm, a rigid shaft, and a button. The worm engages the worm gear such that rotation of the worm causes rotation of the worm gear. The rigid shaft extends through a through hole defined in the worm and is configured to rotate the worm. The button is operatively engaged with the worm gear such that rotation of the worm gear causes movement of the button between collapsed and expanded states to change a height of the disc space.

  • Patent number: 9915939
Abstract: An industrial control system is provided that includes a first control set, having a first frame period. The first control set includes at least one first input/output (I/O) pack; and at least one first controller. The industrial control system also has a second control set with a second frame period. The second control set includes at least one second input/output (I/O) pack; and at least one second controller. A mixed-frame rate logic device is also included with the industrial control system. This device may handle sharing of input data, output data, or both provided by the first control set to the second control set when the first and second frame periods are different.

  • Patent number: 9372478
Abstract: A control system for a power application is provided, including a control module and a configuration tool. The control module is in communication with the power application. The control module includes control logic for controlling the power application by a plurality of frame states. All of the frame states are executed within a period of time referred to as a frame rate. The control module includes control logic for allotting an adjustable amount of time for each of the frame states. The configuration tool is in communication with the control module. The configuration tool includes control logic for modifying the adjustable amount of time of each of the plurality of frame states without modifying the frame rate.

  • Publication number: 20080238238
Abstract: Energy is generated by an apparatus and process which utilize magnetic forces to move a rotor in a circular direction to turn a rotor shaft. This apparatus and process convert magnetic energy into mechanical force, kinetic energy or electrical energy.

  • Publication number: 20070268907
Abstract: A method for providing an early packet termination such that prior to the complete transmission of the number of cells specified in the first cell of a packet, a crossbar connection is released. The act of releasing the connection is triggered on recognition of an End of Packet bit (EOP) set in any cell of the stream. The feature can be enabled, for example, by a specific act of setting a register bit, connecting a pin to Vcc or ground or some other intentional act. The feature will default to the inactive state upon reset.

  • Publication number: 20060274656
Abstract: A switch segments variable length frames into cells for transmission over a cell-based switch fabric and handles rate differences between the input data rate and the switch fabric data rate. The fabric handles multiple cell packets by maintaining a switch path until a certain number of cells are transmitted as indicated in a length field in the first data cell. The first cell contains a full data payload, and a length field value sufficient to handle a maximum length frame. Subsequent cells can contain less than a full data payload, with the number of valid bytes in the cell being indicated in the length field. The last cell used to segment the frame contains an end of frame indicator. The indicator signals the destination port side of the switch to terminate the packet path in the switch fabric prematurely—before the number of cells indicated in the first data cell.
