    Abstract: In a vehicle alarm system, as one feature circuitry is provided which can be attached to detect an input from a door pin input switch, and which can detect the opening and closing of the door if the door pin input switch is either a positively triggered pin switch or a negatively triggered pin switch. Furthermore, a specific structure of a piezoelectric disk sensor and detecting circuitry associated therewith is provided. The piezoelectric disk sensor has a weight mounted off a central axis at a distance of approximately a radius of the piezoelectric disk from a rigid mounting area. The associated circuitry evaluates all information from a shock sensing signal detected by the piezoelectric disk sensor.

    Abstract: An automatic vehicle starter in which a temperature sensor may sense a temperature of the engine. The vehicle starter may then remotely crank a starter motor of the vehicle. The duration of time that the starter motor is cranked will be based on the sensed temperature. In this way, a vehicle can be cranked for an appropriate amount of time without requiring any tachometer sensing operation. Also, to insure that the vehicle has been properly started, after a signal to remotely start the vehicle is transmitted, a first battery voltage is measured. Then, the ignition to the vehicle is turned on so that all turned on accessories will have power supplied thereto. A battery voltage is then again measured, this battery voltage representing the battery voltage with a load applied thereto from the turned on accessories having power supplied thereto. The vehicle is then automatically started.

    Abstract: Apparatus for printing any line of characters comprises printing wheels on a common shaft, the wheels on the shaft together defining a printing line over a hammer. Each printing wheel is rotated by a respective stepping motor through a respective setting wheel. An aligner bar is inserted into notches in the wheels, prior to printing, to verify the alignment of the characters in printing position. The stepping motors are bi-directional and take the shortest path from a preceding printing position to the next printing position. The pulsing frequency may be ramped to give a higher stepping rate in the intermediate portion of each printing wheel movement.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus provide for accurate weighing of fruit or like product while continuously conveying the product in a first direction. During weight sizing of the fruit, the fruit is continuously conveyed in the first direction utilizing a fruit cup supporting the fruit. The fruit cup is mounted for pivotal movement with respect to a yoke about a horizontal axis perpendicular to the first direction. The yoke preferably is connected to a tow rod which effects conveyance of the product container. The amount of pivotal movement of the cup about the axis is limited. Support structures extend downwardly from the cup into operative engagement with weighing mechanism tracks on only one side of a line extending in the first direction through the center of gravity of the cup. The leading and trailing edges of the weighing mechanism track segments are spaced (in conjunction with the support structures) so that the entire weight of the cup and product are transferred instantaneously to the weighing mechanism.

    Abstract: This invention is concerned with the high speed printing of a line of text on a sheet in very accurate registration with an edge of the sheet or another feature (for example an existing print line) on the sheet.
