Abstract: A method for applying a refractory coating to a sand core, to be used for a metal casting, in a dry state, without the use of a liquid carrier. The coating may be applied by pressing the coating into a mixture of refractory material and impacting media fluidized in a vibratory bed such that the core floats in the mixture, and then rotating the core to coat the surfaces that will be in contact with the molten metal in the casting process.

Abstract: A method for centrifugal casting using a sand core having a refractory coating applied in a dry state, without the use of a liquid carrier, said coating sufficient to withstand the adverse forces of the centrifugal casting environment and yield a finished cast surface with a consistent, smooth surface. Abstract: A medical instrument is provided for manipulation of the uterus, in particular for laparascopic complete hysterectomy. It comprises a handle at the proximal instrument part and a manipulator probe at the distal instrument part, these being connected to one another via an elongate shank. Furthermore a holding device is arranged at the distal instrument part for fastening the uterus subject to therapy relative to the manipulator probe. In order to prevent the pneomoperitoneum from being destroyed during the operation to remove the uterus, the invention provides for a sealing device in the form of a closed tube insertable into the vagina, in which the shank of the instrument is axially displaceably arranged.

Abstract: A trocar sleeve characterized by an annular flange adjacent a proximal end, a disc-shaped annular stop spaced from the annular flange in a distal direction and helically extending thread extending from said annular disc-shaped stop toward the distal end to prevent the removal of the sleeve from a puncture. The sleeve is used in conjunction with the trocar, which is provided with a disc-shaped annular stop between its ends, which engages the proximal end of the sleeve as the trocar is inserted therethrough and with cutting edges of the trocar being exposed to the distal end of the sleeve. The sleeve and trocar form a device which is used to form a puncture in the wall of a patient and then, after the distal end of the sleeve has been inserted in the puncture, the sleeve is rotated to thread the sleeve into the puncture to a position to prevent its removal.

Abstract: A process for plant scale production of cement wherein the materials including at least calcium oxide, silicon dioxide and aluminum oxide are subjected to the steps of grinding to approximately a 200 mesh size, drying to less than 5% water by weight of the materials when mixed, blending to a uniform mixture and compounding in a high velocity compounding mill.

Abstract: A recirculating barbecue device which has a heat booster and smoke trap, the device includes a barbecue basin for holding coals, and a hood arranged above the basin for collecting gases and fly ash, the hood includes a filter for filtering the fly ash and an air fan and conduit for recycling collected gases and drawing additional air to the basin for increasing the temperature of coals in the basin and insuring a complete combustion of gases produced during burning of the coals.
