Publication number: 20190329430Abstract: In some embodiments, a utility knife and multi-point utility blade for use in the same are disclosed. The utility knife can include a blade segment separation guide (or guide) for separating detachable blade segments from the multi-point utility blade. The guide can be disposed along a handle member of the utility knife and include a channel configured to receive a distal-most detachable blade segment of the multi-point utility blade. In the event the distal-most detachable blade segment becomes dull or otherwise damaged, a user can insert the same into the channel of the guide and apply torque to the multi-point blade to “snap off” the distal-most detachable blade segment. A blade segment that was previously adjacent the snapped off blade segment then becomes the currently distal-most detachable blade segment. Thus a user can remove dull/damage blade segments to expose a fresh, sharp cutting edge of the multi-point blade.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 29, 2018Publication date: October 31, 2019Inventor: Harry S. Billado, JR.

Publication number: 20140373363Abstract: A utility knife including a housing and a blade carrier at least partially within the housing. The blade carrier is configured to receive a first blade in a first end of the blade carrier and a second blade in a second end of the blade carrier, and is movable within the housing between a first extended position, a retracted position, and a second extended position. When the blade carrier is in the first extended position, the first blade is extended outwardly from a first end of the housing, when the blade carrier is in the retracted position the first and second blades are disposed entirely within the housing, and when the blade carrier is in the second extended position, the second blade is extended outwardly from the second end of the housing.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 14, 2014Publication date: December 25, 2014Inventor: Harry S. Publication number: 20120193358Abstract: A resilient one-piece paint brush storage lid for storing a paint brush. The one-piece lid has a flat portion covering the container, a depending outer rim portion, and a raised tapered neck portion projecting above the flat portion, with an aperture in the raised neck portion, for slidably receiving a paint brush handle therethrough. The raised neck portion extending above the flat portion of the storage lid maintains a sufficiently strong grip on the handle of the brush so as to suspend the weight of the brush. The lid also includes a plurality of discrete steps extending inwardly from an interior surface of the rim portion, wherein each of the plurality of discrete steps is configured to sealingly engage at least a portion of a container opening of a different associated diameter.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 1, 2012Publication date: August 2, 2012Inventor: Harry S. Patent number: 6009697Abstract: A hand held garden implement, namely a rake, which allows for self-cleaning through the new design of the rakes prongs or teeth of collected leaves, grass, vegetable matter or other adhering material. The head of the rake, containing a plurality of interconnected prongs or teeth, moves as a unit. The first prong or tooth has a first leg that extends from a first tine, and a second leg that extends from a second, adjacent tine. The two legs meet and are joined at a rounded point midway between the two tines and forms a triangular shape. The next prong or tooth has a first leg that extends from the second tine and meets a second leg extending from a third adjacent tine. Each prong or tooth is substantially perpendicular to the tines. Between each prong or tooth, at the point where each leg meets a tine is a 2-2.5 inch slot cut vertically up each tine to allow each prong or tooth the ability to work independently of each other.Type: GrantFiled: August 15, 1997Date of Patent: January 4, 2000Inventor: Harry S.
