    Abstract: A novel angiogenic composition obtained from the omentum is provided which acts as a potent and effective factor for blood perfusion enhancement and for the development of new blood vessels in an organized structural network in living tissues. The angiogenic composition is a lipid or lipids, essentially protein-free as extracted from the omentum using organic solvents. This composition can then be injected to target to a site where new blood vessel formation, or blood perfusion enhancement is required. This material can be used to heal various damaged tissues including bone and heart.
