A triggering event associated with a runtime operation of the particular terminal is determined, and the advertising control rules are invoked in response to the triggering event. The particular advertising content is rendered to the user via a terminal user application in accordance with the advertising control rules.

Abstract: Providing dynamic bookmarks via a user device involves configuring a network access program user interface with dynamic bookmarks that facilitate user access of network content via the network access program. Data that describes the arrangement of the dynamic bookmarks is received via a network. The arrangement of the dynamic bookmarks is based on the inputs of a plurality of third party service providers. The dynamic bookmarks are updated via the network access program user interface in response to receiving the data.

It also relates to a new possibility to reduce the communication load of mobile communication networks for downloading high quality game software to game-enabled cellular phone devices. Abstract: Providing assistance to a user of a mobile device involves sending a signal from the mobile device to a help service computing arrangement via a network to initiate a help session. Device-specific data of the mobile device is sent via the network and targeted for a help database. A session identifier is associated with the device-specific data via the help service computing arrangement. A voice connection between the user and a help agent is established and the session identifier is provided to the help agent. The device-specific data is accessed by the help agent from the help database using the session identifier for purposes of providing the assistance.

Abstract: An electronic book (e-book) system is disclosed for advancing distribution of electronic reading materials using an electronic book (e-book) server at different locations over different data networks. Such an electronic book system may comprise a private network; a central server connected to the private network, which stores a collection of electronic documents; an e-book server which stores an electronic document selected from the central server converted in an e-book format for later downloading to a remote e-book terminal, via a public network; and a host computer connected to the private network, which selects the electronic document from the central server, and uses a print function of an operating system to transfer the selected electronic document from the central server for storage in an e-book format at the e-book server for later downloading to a remote e-book terminal, via the public network.

In the transmitter there are detected such areas of the image that are changed with respect to the previous image, and the picture information representing the occurred changes, along with the addresses of the respective picture areas, is sent into the transmission channel. In the receiver there is reconstructed the new image on the basis of the previous image and the picture information representing the occurred changes.
