  • Publication number: 20170122472
Abstract: A coupling adapter for locking engagement of a hose adapter to a tank adapter includes a locking slide for engaging the hose adapter and a coupling sleeve for attaching the locking slide to the tank adapter while allowing axially shifting movement of the locking slide along a central longitudinal axis of the coupling adapter between a retracted release position allowing release of the hose adapter from the locking slide and an extended locking position preventing release of the hose adapter from the locking slide, and a resilient member for resiliently biasing the locking slide towards its extended locking position. The locking slide and the coupling sleeve have cooperating elements that rotationally interfere with one another when the locking slide is in the extended locking position to restrict rotation of the locking slide relative to the coupling sleeve in at least one direction.

  • Publication number: 20170009938
Abstract: A lubrication/bleeder fitting (10) is provided including a cap (14), a body (12) having a first end (15) coupled to the cap, a second end (17) opposite the first end, and an axially extending cavity (40) extending between the first and second ends. The fitting also includes a poppet seat (50) in the axially extending cavity and a poppet (60) disposed in the axially extending cavity and having a nose portion to seat against the poppet seat. A resilient member (64) is disposed in the axially extending cavity between the poppet and the second end, and a spacer (66) is disposed in the axially extending cavity and seating an end of the resilient member opposite the poppet. The poppet is biased in a first position against the poppet seat by the resilient member to prevent fluid flow through the axially extending cavity.

  • Patent number: 9377145
Abstract: Provided is a coupler including female and male couplers configured to be coupled together. The female coupler includes one or more detents and a release valve having a release valve member that is movable to an open position to allow for venting of fluid from a cavity in the female coupler to an area outside the coupler, and the male coupler includes a detent recess into which the one or more detents of the female coupler are urged radially inwardly into to couple the female and male couplers. By eliminating a threaded connection between the male and female couplers, the couplers prevent leakage of fluid and/or separation of the couplers due to vibration during use.

  • Publication number: 20150276110
Abstract: Provided is a coupling including female and male couplers configured to be coupled together. The female coupler includes a notch having one end opening to an axial end face of the body of the female coupler at a forward end and an opposite end having a rearwardly facing groove for retaining a locking element of the male coupler. The groove and locking element connection eliminates a threaded connection between the female and male couplers. By eliminating a threaded connection between the female and male couplers, the couplers prevent leakage of fluid and/or separation of the couplers due to vibration during use.
