Abstract: The present disclosure describes electronic shopping systems, specifically electronic shopping and payment embodiments, which utilize a software program running on a device to digitally photograph a machine-readable representation of data including but not limited to a UPC, a digital photograph of a product or product identification code, a voice representation of a product or product identification code, or the manual entry of a product identification code to identify products which are then stored on a client or server in a virtual shopping cart. Virtual shopping cart items are purchased through an electronic payment system from the mobile device using a client and server. The physical representation of these items may be located in an actual shopping cart in a brick and mortar store or virtually located through the Internet.
