Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for improving provider and consumer control of content items, channels, accounts, subscriptions, and related information including metadata. The information regarding the content items, channels, accounts, subscriptions, and related information including metadata is structured into formats suitable for determining past, present, and future user interest in content, likelihood to consume the content, and relatedness of content items. The determinations are used to generate recommendations. Content providers are provided with options to customize conditions of the determinations, the recommendations, and offers based on the same to be provided to consumers. Users are provided with the recommendations and are presented with options to change channel line-ups and subscriptions, including automatic changes based on selected parameters. The systems and methods may comprise receiving a content item, the content item comprising a video image, and determining a first screen position of an information box (e.g., a score box) in the video image. Determining may be performed with image analysis and/or a machine learning model. The system receives an overlay image (e.g., a channel logo) with a second screen position and determines if the second screen position (e.g., for the logo) overlaps the first screen position (e.g., for the score). In response to determining the second screen position (e.g., of the logo) overlaps the first screen position (e.g., the score), the system modifies the second screen position (e.g., for the logo). Then the system generates for display the overlay image on the video in the modified screen position. The system may not relocate the overlay if the overlay is a high priority.

Abstract: Provided are systems and methods for generating a customized summary of content for a user using a co-relation graph and a user preference. The co-relation graph maps, for each segment of the content, summary information of the segment and a characteristic of the segment. The system identifies, using the co-relation graph, a subset of the segments of the content based on the user preference and the characteristics of the segments. The customized summary of the content is generated based on the summary information for the identified subset of segments. The system may also use a current presentation time of the content to limit which segments are used to generate the summary. The system can also use a priority ranking to exclude summary information from less important segments to keep the summary within a desired size.
