  • Patent number: 6575266
Abstract: A device on the tube barrel of a tube weapon, more particularly on an aircraft cannon. It comprises a bottle, arranged on the muzzle end of the tube barrel by means of holding means, which serves to take up a shock wave at the muzzle. The bottle possesses a rear opening and following same in the direction of shooting a front opening, through which a fired projectile leaves the bottle. A blast divider tube, extending in the direction of shooting, is inserted into the front opening of the bottle, and serves as a passage through which the projectile passes. The blast divider tube also divides the bottle into an expansion space between the divider tube and the muzzle and a blind space toward the front.

  • Patent number: 6412295
Abstract: A sorption device for heating and cooling gas streams, with a sorbent container which contains a sorbent that takes up a working fluid which evaporates in an evaporator that contains a quantity of working fluid in correspondence with the quantity of sorbent, with a sorbent heat exchanger which exchanges the heat between a sorbent and a sorbent gas stream, with a working fluid heat exchanger which exchanges the heat between working fluid, and with a working fluid gas stream, and a closable valve between the sorbent container and the evaporator, which valve is able to interrupt the flow of the working fluid vapor, with both the sorbent heat exchanger and the working fluid heat exchanger having at their inlets and outlets connecting elements which can be readily attached to, detached from, and exchanged for one another on the gas flow channels for supplying and discharging gas streams that are to be heated or cooled.

  • Patent number: 5774902
Abstract: A special-purpose suit is provided, in particular for pilots or vehicle drivers or other individuals whose bodies need to be protected, having an outer protective layer which protects against undesirable external influences, a moisture-permeable and/or vapor-permeable inner layer, and a space-maintaining, fluid-permeable spacer layer which is arranged between the outer protective layer and the inner layer and can be climatically conditioned with the introduction of a fluid, the protective layer, the inner layer and the spacer layer being designed such that they essentially cover the torso and/or the leg and/or the arm areas of the special-purpose suit.

  • Patent number: 4570880
Abstract: An arrangement of devices for removing wall parts of a cockpit canopy in emergencies, with fuses being mounted in such a manner to the canopy glass for the purpose of the rapid removal of glass parts from the ejection path of a person to be rescued. Glass halves are formed by severing specific glass sections while maintaining a bending line along a specific bending path in the area of the longitudinal glass edges.
