    Abstract: By means of a method and a system for heating and partial oxidation of not separately pre-heated, pre-reformed steam/natural gas mixture for an NH3 synthesis gas, whereby energy is supplied to the gas stream (raw synthesis gas), in the direction of flow, after a primary reformer, a solution is to be created, with which soot formation is to be prevented as much as possible, whereby the possibility of the addition of variable amounts, for example of N2 and O2 or mixtures thereof, is also supposed to be possible. This is achieved, according to the method, in that the energy is supplied directly after the primary reformer, by way of at least one pore burner positioned in the gas discharge line of the primary reformer.

Inside the reaction chambers, catalyst material is applied to the internal walls or filled into recesses, and in all chambers there are spacers. In particular the slot-shaped reaction chambers have channels with a hydraulic diameter smaller than 1500 ?m and a ratio of free slot width to free slot height in the range of 10 to 450.

    Abstract: Bulk material containing vaporizable ingredients, such as lignite, hard coal, peat, waste wood, clarifier sludge, waste sludge, contaminated earth, catalysts, zeolites and filter cake, is conditioned by means of a vibrating plate conveyor divided into a heating section and a drying section, using an indirect heat exchange method. The bulk material is heated in an enclosed heating section while withdrawing the vapor from this section. In the downstream enclosed drying section, the vaporizable fractions contained in the bulk material are further reduced with the aid of heat supplied indirectly, the vapor being withdrawn. The bulk material is separated several times into coarse and fine fractions utilizing at least one slotted grid, the fines being immediately recycled and remixed with the coarse fractions which have a higher water content. The bulk material is mixed several times while being heated in the drying section before discharge.
