Abstract: The description is given of a molding, in particular for furniture and particularly for seating furniture, which has at least one surface with a number of curves and which consists of a multi-layered material with fibers. According to the invention, a multiplicity of slits are arranged in the at least one curved surface of the molding such that the slits can take up the change in the dimensions of the material in relation to the non-deformed state, with the result that an essentially stress-free state can be achieved without damage to the outer layers of the material in the region of the curved surface.

Abstract: A one-piece furniture frame of plastic including a support structure and legs, wherein the legs are connected to a support structure through the intermediary of tubular receptacles. The tubular receptacles extend as far as the floor and form the legs, into each of which legs is inserted at least one fitted supporting rod.

Abstract: Chair with a seat and an inherently elastically compliant back rest that consists in the hip area of several transverse ribs separated from one another by interspaces, which are held together by connectors in such a way that the transverse ribs can rotate with respect to one another around horizontal axes, and that the connectors consist of film hinges with rotation-limiting elements bridging over the interspaces, with the seat together with the back rest and together with the transverse ribs being molded in one piece from plastic over continuous cross sections, formed by the film hinges and spring elements associated with them.

Abstract: This light or optical conductor is formed as an integral structure, preferably by extrusion, of an optical material such as glass or transparent plastics material. A light conducting core is supported in an envelope by means of lands and ribs arranged and shaped in such a manner that the core and the lands as well as the ribs are surrounded by hollow spaces which are preferably filled with air. The ribs are tapering away from the core toward the envelope whereby light entering into these ribs through the lands from the core is reflected back into the core.
