  • Patent number: 7651276
Abstract: In a bearing unit for a drive shaft mounted cantilevered in a housing by means of two rolling bearings and having a driving bevel gear wherein the drive shaft is mounted in the drive housing via a bearing bush and the bearing bush is axially supported at one end by a bearing bush support part and the rolling bearings are supported in the bearing bush spaced from the one end thereof so that, during heating, the bearing bush expands inwardly toward the driving bevel gear mounted on the shaft whereas the drive housing expands outwardly away from the driving bevel gear, the gear drive housing and the bearing bush consist of a light metal alloy and the bearing bush support part consists of an iron material.

  • Patent number: 7399250
Abstract: In an all-wheel drive train for a motor vehicle wherein the drive torque of the engine of the motor vehicle is transmitted from the transmission output shaft partially to the rear axle and partially to the front axle via an offset transmission structure and a laterally arranged drive shaft extending from the offset transmission structure past the transmission to the front axle of the motor vehicle extends from the offset transmission forwardly at a certain opening angle in close proximity to the transmission structure which narrows down toward the rear so that the rear end of the lateral drive shaft is relatively close to the center axis of the transmission.

  • Patent number: 7399249
Abstract: In a multi-disk clutch comprising a rotary body having splines formed thereon so as to extend helically along the surface thereof, with a number of disks having central openings with inwardly projecting teeth via which the discs are in rotationally positively locking engagement with the rotary body, the teeth are twisted so as to extend in a plane normal to the surface of the helically extending splines of the rotary body so that the end face areas of the teeth are in planar contact with the spline surfaces of the rotary body for the transmission of torque between the rotary body and the disks.

  • Publication number: 20060048992
Abstract: In a longitudinally installed four wheel drive train of a motor which includes a front drive shaft, which transmits the engine driving torque to the front axle from the rear end of the vehicle transmission the front drive shaft comprises at least at its rear end two opposite radially projecting pins extending into longitudinal grooves formed in a gear wheel of a front drive structure so as to be axially movably and pivotally supported therein.

  • Patent number: 5704251
Abstract: In a gearbox of a motor vehicle, a shift console is installed with a shifter shaft unit as a preassembled module in a housing opening of a transmission housing that houses a driveshaft. The shift housing part has a mounting flange extending transversely to a geometric bearing axis with a flange opening flush with the geometric bearing axis. One bearing system is located in the vicinity of the flange opening, and the other bearing system is located on an end of shift console opposite the mounting flange. A shaft end of the shifter shaft adjacent the bearing system located in the vicinity of flange opening includes the connection for operating the shifter shaft. The transmission housing has a housing opening coverable externally by the mounting flange for inserting the shift console into the transmission housing.
