    Abstract: An apparatus and a method are specified for administering a gentle contrast medium during magnetic resonance tomography. The apparatus comprises means for injection of blood into the patient as well as an enrichment device for enriching the blood with the gaseous contrast medium. As part of the magnetic resonance tomography imaging the blood is enriched with the gaseous contrast medium and injected into the patient. The contrast medium contains oxygen.
