Each of the first and second legs has an insulation displacement slot that communicates with the wire insertion opening. The first leg has a spring contact member projecting into an inner portion of the insulation displacement portion. The clamping portion extends from the second leg. The clamping portion is bent about a bending axis by about 90 degrees. The clamping portion has tongues for securing a connecting wire.
