Abstract: A display apparatus of the present invention is constructed so that a front unit mounted with a display device and a back unit supported on a base are connected by a support shaft having an axis meeting at right angle with a screen of the display device, thereby rotating mechanism for the screen of comparatively small-sized and light-weighted but sufficient in strength is realized, also the display unit, which is composed of the front and back units, is to be tilted to vary the angle of elevation, and the display unit is provided with a lock mechanism which can rotate the display unit only when the display unit is tilted upward to the predetermined extent in order to prevent the front unit from accidental rotation when the display unit is tilted downward.
