  • Publication number: 20140306643
Abstract: A motion controller includes a controller configured to output a motor driving command based on a motion-and-sequence time chart used for motion control of a motor, to a motor driving apparatus. The controller is configured to receive the motion-and-sequence time chart, which has been created by a general-purpose PC, from the general-purpose PC via a higher-layer network. The controller is configured to receive the motion-and-sequence time chart including a command data sequence included in the motor driving command for the motor driving apparatus. The controller is configured to receive the motion-and-sequence time chart including a sequence time chart that describes a coordinated relationship between the motion control of the motor and a certain two-level input/output signal relating to the motion control of the motor.

Abstract: A direct drive motor comprises a first ring body and a second ring body. The first ring body is disposed on one side in an axial direction and on one side in a radial direction. The second ring body is disposed on the other side in the axial direction and on the other side in the radial direction. The first ring body includes a first tapered face on the other side in the axial direction and on the other side in the radial direction. The second ring body includes a second tapered face on the one side in the axial direction and on the one side in the radial direction. Either of the first or second ring body includes an air path. One of the first and second ring body includes a secondary side member, and the other ring body includes a primary side member.

  • Patent number: 7137940
Abstract: Machining is possible in such a manner that an optional position of a workpiece is positioned just under a tool by rotation of a turn table in a C-axis direction, movement of the turn table in a Y-axis direction, and movement of a spindle in a Z-axis direction, so that a width of a main unit in a X-axis direction can be made shorter in comparison with machining by moving the turn table in the X-axis direction. Besides, the turn table located on a front side of the main unit, an ATC located on the rear side thereof, and a separated control panel located on the rear side of the ATC, independent from the main unit can also make the width of a machining center in the X-axis direction shorter.

  • Patent number: 7097603
Abstract: When exchanging a tool, a tool of a spindle is stored in an empty pocket of a tool magazine, and thereafter, upward movement of the spindle and rotation of the tool magazine are simultaneously executed. At this time, synchronous control is performed in order to prevent a collision between the spindle and the tool. When installing a next tool in the spindle, both downward movement of the spindle and rotation of the tool magazine are executed while synchronously controlling. The tool exchange time can be shortened with simultaneously executing the movements of the spindle and the tool magazine.

  • Patent number: 7062999
Abstract: The object of the invention is to provide an inverted vertical lathe comprising a device for replacing collets automatically, and having a detector for detecting that the collet has been gripped correctly. A chuck 400 mounted on a headstock 40 grips a collet 500 in a replaceable manner via a tapered bore 430 provided to the end thereof. A collet end face eccentricity detector 600 comprises a detecting member (sensor) 610 fixed to the end of an arm 630. The detecting member 610 detects the eccentricity of the end face 510 of the collet 500 in a contactless manner. A variation pattern of the eccentricity occurring when each collet 500 is gripped correctly by the chuck 400 on the main spindle is detected in advance, and this pattern is compared with the variation pattern of the eccentricity detected by the present detection, and thus, whether or not the collet has been gripped correctly is detected.

  • Patent number: 6705186
Abstract: A sensor 42d is provided for detecting release of a state of a workpiece fixed and held with workpiece holding members during rotation of a spindle 9. When the release of the state of the wokpiece fixed and held is detected, the sliding members are driven in a direction of an axial center (in a direction as shown by an arrow D) by a reciprocating drive means 42. Even if holding force, such as the oil pressure of the workpiece holding member, is lowered, the decrease of the holding force of the workpiece can be extremely avoided by moving the sliding members in the direction of the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 6679503
Abstract: A chuck unit for a machine tool is capable of holding a workpiece installed on a spindle by workpiece holding members that move in a radial direction with respect to an axial center. Workpiece holding rods are provided at the workpiece holding member and move radially. Screw operating portions are operated by a rotating operation jig at an outer peripheral side of the chuck unit. A workpiece end face abutment moves and holds the workpiece in the axial direction.

  • Patent number: 4240194
Abstract: An automatic tooling machine includes a spindle carrier having a spindle for supporting a machining tool. The spindle carrier includes a tool drum mounting device for rotatably supporting a tool drum having plural machining tools thereon. A device is provided for transferring a selected machining tool between the tool drum supported on the tool drum mounting device and the spindle. A drum storage rack is fixedly positioned separate from the spindle carrier and extends in a longitudinal direction. The rack includes a plurality of drum support members for storing a plurality of tool drums. A carriage track is integral with the spindle carrier. A device is provided for selectively moving the spindle carrier to a position such that the carriage track is positioned adjacent and aligned with a selected of the drum support members. A carriage is provided for moving the tool drum of the selected drum support member along the carriage track between the tool drum mounting device and the selected drum support member.
