  • Patent number: 4746925
Abstract: A glass antenna for a vehicle includes a pair of dipole antenna elements, a central lead wire out from one end of either one of the dipole antenna elements, a first shielding lead wire led out from one end of the other dipole antenna element, a second shielding lead wire extending so as to interpose the central lead wire between the same and the first shielding lead wire, and a pair of balanced-to-unbalanced transformers branching off from the respective intermediate portions of the first and second shielding lead wires. Accordingly, washing and garaging of the vehicle are facilitated.

  • Patent number: 4117451
Abstract: An apparatus for detecting variation of a condition in a mechanical device comprises a detecting transformer or plurality of such transformers provided with an input winding, a control winding and an output winding, an A. C. power source connected to said input winding, and a detecting element connected in series with said control winding. The normally closed detecting element is adapted to become open circuited in response to variation of the condition amount in said mechanical device. A required output signal is taken out and detected by an output circuit from the output winding due to the open circuiting of the detecting element.

  • Patent number: 3975948
Abstract: A method for measuring the axial force exerted on a body to be measured by applying two ultrasonic frequencies respectively having a transverse-wave vibration mode and a longitudinal-wave vibration mode to a body on which an axial force is exerted, measuring the natural frequencies of the body in the transverse-wave and longitudinal-wave vibration modes, obtaining the result of a computational operation (e.g., the result of a subtraction) on the measured natural frequencies, and measuring from this result the axial force exerted on the body in accordance with the predetermined result-versus-axial force calibration values.
