  • Patent number: 10179317
Abstract: A gas generator includes, a cylindrical housing provided with an ignition device and a diffuser, and an inner cylindrical member defining a gap with an inner circumferential wall surface of the cylindrical housing and leading to a gas discharge port. The inner cylindrical member is formed of a plurality of cylindrical members having gas inlet-outlet holes and connected in an axial direction. An opening of each of the cylindrical members has concave-convex portions for fitting the cylindrical members together. Both ends of the connected cylindrical members have a first protrusion on a side of the ignition device serving as a first abutment portion, and a second protrusion on the side of the diffuser portion serving as a second abutment portion. The first and second abutment portions abut the inner circumferential wall surface of the cylindrical housing and have a hole or a cutout to allow a gas to pass.

  • Publication number: 20060202455
Abstract: The present invention provides a hybrid gas generator which is capable of keeping an air bag inflated by generating a lower-temperature gas so that the internal pressure of the air bag is maintained following inflation of the air bag. An opening serving as a gas outlet is formed in a cylindrical bottle 22 storing a pressurized medium, and the opening is sealed by a first sealing member 58 which is ruptured by an increase in the internal pressure of the bottle 22. The increase in the internal pressure of the bottle 22 is produced by activating heating means, and the temperature increase range of the pressurized medium before and after activation is not more than approximately 500° C.

  • Patent number: 5847744
Abstract: A thin-film type thermal print head has a resistor layer formed over an insulative substrate, a conductor layer having a specified planar pattern overlapping the resistor layer, a portion of the resistor layer serving as a heat-emitting part which is not covered by the conductor layer, and a protective layer formed over the heat-emitting part and at least a portion of the conductor layer adjacent to the heat-emitting part. The protective layer may be formed as a conductive layer with resistance greater than that of the heat-emitting part such that static electricity which may be generated by the friction with printing paper can quickly escape to the conductor layer. The protective layer may also include a wear-resisting layer of a prior art type between the conductive layer and the conductor layer, a portion of the conductive layer being preferably connected to the conductor layer. The conductive layer is preferably a mixed layer of SiC and ZrB.sub.2 containing ZrB.sub.
