    Abstract: A battery adapter includes an inverter device capable of converting voltage waveform from DC to AC. A first reachable battery and a second rechargeable battery different in shape can be selectively connected to the inverter device. The first rechargeable battery may, for example, a battery pack for use in an electric power tool, and the second rechargeable battery may, for example, a high-capacity lead-acid battery. With the battery adapter, two types of rechargeable batteries can be used as a power source for driving the AC-driven electric power tool.
