  • Patent number: 5197051
Abstract: A device is for specifying and calculating a reproduction time of an optical disk player such that the reproduction time is specified and calculated to coincide with a recording length of one side of a magnetic tape. The optical disk player reproduces audio information stored on an optical disk in the form of a plurality of recorded audio segments. The magnetic tape is used to record at least one of the plurality of recorded audio segments reproduced by the optical disk player.

  • Patent number: 5029153
Abstract: An optical disk reproducing device is used when recording a plurality of music pieces, which have been recorded on an optical disk, on a recording medium such as a magnetic recording tape by using a magnetic recording and reproducing device, etc. in order to make it easy to edit and set the number of music pieces which is recordable to minimize a remaining time of a recording tape.

  • Patent number: 5008872
Abstract: An optical disc reproduction apparatus is disclosed including a device for detecting a maximum audio signal level recorded on the optical disc. A first course-search is effected of the entire optical disc to detect a first location on the optical disc in which a maximum value of a recorded audio signal is located. A second fine-search of the optical disc is effected within a region extending in opposite directions from the location on the optical disc detected during the first course-search. During the second fine-search operation, a second location on the optical disc is located in which a maximum value of the recorded audio signal level is located. Then, audio signals are reproduced repetitiously in the vicinity of the second location detected during the second fine-search operation.

  • Patent number: 5008875
Abstract: A programming device of an optical disc reproducing apparatus is for programming a playing sequence of audio selections of an optical disc for recording onto a magnetic recording medium having first and second recording sides. An arithmetic unit is provided for determining which of the audio selections are to be recorded on each side of the magnetic recording medium in accordance with the recording time of the magnetic recording medium and the playing times of the audio selections, and for calculating remainder times denoting the difference between the recording time of the magnetic recording medium and the total playing times of the audio selections.

  • Patent number: 4991159
Abstract: A time display device for an apparatus for playing information recorded on an optical disk includes a first input device for specifying a total playing time and a second input device for specifying portions of the disk to be played. A time adding unit obtains a sum of the playing times of the portions of the disk specified by the second input device. A subtracting unit obtains a subtracted value by subtracting the sum obtained by the time adding unit from the total playing time. The total playing time is then displayed in a numerical fashion, whereas the sum obtained by the adding unit is displayed in a bar graph fashion.

  • Patent number: 4916682
Abstract: A device for reproducing a plurality of optical disks previously stores a remaining time obtained by substracting the total playing time of music pieces of an optical disk from the play time corresponding to the length of a recording tape set by a user and sequentially stores the number of music pieces of another optical disk which can be recorded within the remaining time which are obtained by an edition operating section. The remaining time of a recording tape, which occurs when recording a plurality of music pieces recorded on an optical disk by using a magnetic recording/reproducing device such as a tape recorder, can be effectively used to easily set the number of music pieces when reocrding on the tape the music pieces of another optical disk.

  • Patent number: 4894814
Abstract: An optical disc player having a timer for counting the elapse of time from the start of reproduction of music on an optical disc, an input for entering a desired reproduction time, a memory for storing the desired reproduction time and a logic processor for comparing the passage of time counted by the timer. The disc player pauses without going back to the starting position the reproduction of music when the elapsed time coincides with the desired reproduction time.
