    Abstract: There is provided a cooling apparatus which can improve cooling efficiency of an evaporator while preventing freezing of articles housed in a cooled space thereof. The cooling apparatus comprises: a control device which controls a compressor; and a temperature sensor in the chamber which can detect a cooled state in a refrigerator main body to be cooled by the evaporator. The control device stops running of the compressor if the compressor is continuously run for a predetermined time, and changes the continuous running time of the compressor for stopping the same based on a temperature in the chamber of the refrigerator main body detected by the temperature sensor in the chamber.
