Abstract: It is aimed to provide a bone-conduction speaker device which makes no leakage of sound annoying the other and does not restrict posture and rolling-over motion of the user when lying on a bed or sitting on a sofa, and which makes highly reliable and excellent transmission and receiving of sound signal as to enable enjoying of music or the like with almost no locational restrictions. The speaker device comprises: a transmitter converting the inputted sound signal into output of infrared signal and then transmitting it; a receiver demodulating the inputted infrared signal into the sound signal; a bone-conduction speaker amplifying the sound signal and outputting it as sound vibration; and a pad-shaped elastic cushioning body holding on its surface the bone-conduction speaker, thereby forming a pad embedded with the bone-conduction speaker(s). Photo-acceptors for the receiver are arranged on fringe of the cushioning body as spaced apart to each other.

Abstract: A sorting system for a data processing system using buffers. A first thread is provided for performing an input/output process in which records received from an application program are written into the buffers and the records after sorting are transferred to the application program. A second thread is provided for performing a sorting process for the records in the buffers and writing the records into the buffers after the sorting process is completed.

Abstract: A data transferring section creates an available buffer by transferring all of the data records in one of work buffers to at least one of the other work buffers in a case where the available work buffer cannot be obtained even by fetching and outputting all of the data records having a sort order higher than the representative record of a data block to be next fetched from the work buffers. At this time, in at least one of the work buffers in which data records are added by the above data record transferring operation, the data records in each of the work buffers are sorted in the sort order.

Abstract: A large-load gauging device comprising a load converter having strain gauges attached thereto at suitable locations on the inner and outer peripheries thereof, a load concentrating ring mounted on the load converter, a load dispersing plate mounted on the ring, and a load concentrating seat mounted on the dispersing plate.With its setup as such, the gauging device provides an advantage of reduced height and weight as well as reduced cost and is able to perform accurate measurement of large loads.

Abstract: An apparatus for classifying particles comprising a main body having a fine particle outlet and a coarse particle outlet, a classifying fan wheel disposed within the main body, and a first gas inlet channel for supplying the particles to the interior of the main body along with a gas stream. The apparatus further includes a gas passing member having a large number of gas inlets opened toward the direction of rotation of the fan wheel, and a second gas inlet channel for supplying a gas stream to the space between the gas passing member and the inner wall surface of the main body.
