  • Publication number: 20030112611
Abstract: A multifunction IC card (MFC) has compatibility with a multimedia card, an SD card, etc. in that connector terminals (#1 through #13) are disposed on a card substrate (1) in two rows in a zigzag fashion, and realizes multifunction facilities in that a memory card unit (3) and an SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card unit (4) are respectively exclusively connected and mounted to predetermined terminals of the connector terminals (#1 through #13). The memory card unit (3) and the SIM card unit (4) are respectively separately provided with areas for storing secrete codes for security. Thus, one IC card is capable of implementing multifunction facilities different in security level.

  • Publication number: 20030049887
Abstract: On an adapter mounting portion 3a having a projecting cross section which is formed on a cap 3 of a small-sized memory card 1, a recessed portion of an adapter 2 side is fitted so that both parts are formed as an integral unit in a replaceable manner. Accordingly, the small-sized memory card 1 can maintain the dimensional compatibility with respect to existing memory cards whereby the small-sized memory card 1 can be used also in equipment which is designed to cope with the existing memory cards.

  • Publication number: 20020169960
Abstract: A storage device includes a tamper-resistant module and a flash memory. In correspondence with a command, a CPU inside the tamper-resistant module judges the security of data received from the outside, then recording the data as follows: High-security and small-capacity data is recorded into a memory inside the tamper-resistant module. High-security and large-capacity data is encrypted, then being recorded into the flash memory. Low-security data is recorded as it is into the flash memory. This recording method permits large-capacity data to be stored while ensuring a security (i.e., a security level) corresponding thereto.

  • Publication number: 20010009505
Abstract: An IC card has a card substrate having semiconductor integrated circuit chips mounted thereon and a plurality of connector terminals formed thereon. The connector terminals are exposed from a casing. The connector terminals are laid out in plural sequences in staggered form between sequences adjacent to one another forward and backward as viewed in an IC card inserting direction. Owing to the adoption of the staggered layout, a structure or configuration wherein the amounts of protrusions of socket terminals of a card socket are changed and the socket terminals are laid out in tandem, can be adopted with relative ease. If a connector terminal arrangement of a downward or low-order IC card is adopted as a specific connector terminal sequence as it is, whereas a function dedicated for an upward or high-order IC card is assigned to another staggered connector terminal arrangement, then backward compatibility can also be implemented with ease.

  • Patent number: 4269494
Abstract: Battery voltage level warning is made according to the output signals of two detecting circuits. A first detecting circuit detects the power supply voltage having lowered to a value somewhat above the lower limit of the operation power supply voltage of an electronic system. The output thereof supplies weak battery warning. The second detecting circuit detects the power supply voltage having lowered to the lower limit level of said operation power-supply voltage. The output thereof prohibits the operation of said electronic system. Thereby, desirable battery-replacement times becomes clarified and the malfunction of said electronic system is prevented.

  • Patent number: 4268136
Abstract: A camera in which the automatic exposure control is conducted on the basis of measured light information obtained in accordance with the illumination of an object to be photographed. In the camera, a type of exposure control information that is predetermined irrespective of measured light information is supplied as first exposure control information into an exposure control circuit including an analog to digital converter. Subsequently, measured light information obtained through the operation of a shutter release of the camera is supplied thereinto as second exposure control information.

  • Patent number: 4198142
Abstract: The power supply resetting circuit of the invention is adapted to be used in such a type of camera that the shutter release action comprises two steps of strokes: a first stroke by which a power supply circuit for electric circuits mounted in the camera, such as a light measuring circuit, is closed, and a second stroke by which at least the operation of the circuits mounted in the camera is started. The power supply resetting circuit has a self-holding circuit for closing the power supply circuit and additionally mounted to the electric circuits in the camera. The self-holding circuit is adapted to be turned into operation by the second stroke of the shutter release action, substantially simultaneously with the starting of operation of the circuits mounted in the camera, and to be turned inoperative, so as to break the power supply circuit, at the instant at which the photographing sequence is completed or with a certain time lag to that instant.
