  • Publication number: 20250186020
Abstract: Imaging medical device systems and methods for making and using imaging medical device systems are disclosed. An example imaging medical device system may include an elongate shaft having a distal end region. An imaging assembly may be disposed within the elongate shaft. The imaging assembly may include a drive cable, a housing coupled to the drive cable, and a transducer coupled to the housing. A bubble-reducing member may be disposed adjacent to the drive cable.

  • Publication number: 20240180414
Abstract: Intravascular imaging devices and methods for making and using intravascular imaging devices are disclosed. An example intravascular imaging device may include a catheter shaft configured to be disposed within a blood vessel. The catheter shaft may have an imaging window region and an imaging lumen. The imaging lumen may be configured to accommodate and imaging assembly therein. A distal tip member may be coupled to the catheter shaft. The distal tip member may have a guidewire lumen formed therein. The imaging window region and the distal tip member may axially overlap.

  • Publication number: 20240081785
Abstract: The present disclosure provides to process intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) images to identify key frames such as the proximal key frame, a distal key frame, and a minimal key frame from the IVUS images based on the raw lumen area, vessel area, and plaque burden. Ones of the key frames can be re-identified based on manipulation of other ones of the key frames.

  • Publication number: 20240086025
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a graphical user interface (GUI) arranged to convey information related to the IVUS images and lesion assessment and provide for the user to manipulate the information. The GUIs can be generated to include a cross-section view without assessments post recording of IVUS images and to depict assessments after navigation through frames of the IVUS images.

  • Publication number: 20230380806
Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to intravascular imaging display systems and related methods. In an embodiment, an intravascular imaging display system is included having a control circuit and a video output circuit. The video output circuit can be configured to generate a display output including a user interface. The user interface can include graphical elements related to a vessel being imaged. The graphical elements can include a first detected feature portion at least partially defined by a first graphic indicator and a second detected feature portion at least partially defined by a second graphic indicator. The first graphic indicator can be visually distinct from the second graphic indicator. The first detected feature portion and the second detected feature portion can be assigned to represent one or more locations along a vessel wall by the control circuit based on a degree of attenuation of an ultrasound return signal crossing a threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20230309962
Abstract: Telescoping catheters for selectively moving a component of a medical device system are disclosed. An illustrative telescoping catheter may comprise a proximal hub adjacent a proximal end of the catheter, a drive cable, and a telescoping section extending from a proximal end adjacent the proximal hub to a distal end. The telescoping section may comprise an intermediate sheath having a proximal end coupled to the proximal hub and extending distally to a distal end, an outer sheath disposed over the intermediate sheath, the outer sheath having a proximal end and a distal end, an inner sheath disposed within the intermediate sheath, the inner sheath having a proximal end and a distal end, and a seal member disposed between the intermediate sheath and an outer surface of the inner sheath. The intermediate sheath may be configured to be longitudinally displaced relative to the inner and outer sheaths.
