  • Patent number: 9156900
Abstract: The present invention aims to provide a novel undifferentiated state-control agent that maintains and/or improves an undifferentiated state of undifferentiated cells. CCL2 or a protein containing a functional domain thereof is used as the undifferentiated state-control agent. By culturing undifferentiated cells in the presence of the control agent, it is possible to maintain and/or improve an undifferentiated state of the undifferentiated cells. Examples of the undifferentiated cells include embryonic stem cells (ES cells) and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS cells). The origin of the cells is not particularly limited, and may be a human, mouse, or the like, for example.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 30, 2012
Date of Patent: October 13, 2015
    Assignee: RIKEN
Inventors: Harukazu Suzuki, Yuki Hasegawa, Alistair Forrest

  • Publication number: 20070042363
Abstract: A novel protein which binds with tumor necrosis factor receptor associated factor 2, TRAF2, as well as a nucleic acid coding for the protein is disclosed. From a mouse cDNA library, a cDNA coding for a novel protein which binds with TRAF2 was discovered by mammalian two-hybrid assay, the cDNA was sequenced, the protein encoded by the cDNA was produced, and the fact that the protein binds with TRAF2 was experimentally confirmed.
