    Abstract: An information processing device connected to a display device and a pointing device simultaneously starts a plurality of applications and generates a display signal for displaying a plurality of application screens generated by the respective applications in divided regions on the display device. The information processing device accepts a user instruction to change the allocation of the divided regions, changes the allocation of the divided regions in accordance with the user instruction, determines if the size of a first region in which an application screen having a specific aspect ratio is displayed satisfies a predetermined condition, and if it is determined that the size of the first region does not satisfy the predetermined condition, generates a floating region on the screen of the display device that is independent of the allocation of the divided regions, and displays the application screen having the specific aspect ratio in the floating region.

    Abstract: An information displaying device comprises: an input unit that receives operations from a user; a movement state evaluating unit that evaluates a state of movement of the mobile entity; a display information generating unit that generates screen information including UI elements (user interface elements) to be displayed on a display, based on a layout selected from layouts according to the evaluated state of movement of the mobile entity; and an operation detecting unit that detects the operations on each of the UI elements, and counts frequency of the operations on each of the UI elements while the movement state evaluating unit evaluates that the mobile entity is traveling; wherein, in the screen information based on the layout selected when the mobile entity is traveling, the UI elements with higher frequencies of the operations, which are detected by the operation detecting unit, are preferentially displayed on the screen of the display.

    Abstract: A vehicle state detection unit detects whether a vehicle including an information apparatus is in motion or stopped. A display control unit displays operation items related to various functions provided by the information apparatus on a display. A function execution unit executes a function corresponding to a selected operation item. An identification unit identifies the frequency of use of each operation item by classifying the items according to whether the vehicle is in motion or stopped. The display control unit further displays on a prescribed menu screen in which some of the operation items are aggregated. On the prescribed menu screen, when the vehicle is in motion, the operation item identified as having a high frequency of use when the vehicle is in motion is displayed, and when the vehicle is stopped, the operation item identified as having a high frequency of use when the vehicle is stopped is displayed.
