  • Patent number: 7909060
Abstract: A pressure control valve includes a sleeve on which an input port, an output port, and drain ports are formed; and a linear solenoid portion for generating thrust. The pressure control valve further includes a first spool, which advances and retreats within the sleeve, for receiving the thrust, regulating input pressure input to the input port, and outputting the regulated output pressure from the output port; and a second spool, which advances and retreats within the sleeve, for receiving the thrust, and selectively applying output pressure to the first spool. The output pressure is selectively applied to the first spool, thereby doing away with the need for a control valve or the like. This simplifies the oil pressure circuit for generating control pressure, and allows control pressure to be generated in a stable manner, and the size of the pressure control valve to be reduced.

  • Patent number: 7905248
Abstract: The present invention prevents foreign matter from infiltrating into a control valve and enables reduction in the cost of the valve. A strainer is mounted on an attachment portion of a valve sleeve, and a valve spool is disposed in the sleeve so as to be free to slidably advance and retreat. The strainer includes engagement portions m1 contacting first contact sites ?1 and ?2 formed on the attachment portion and a contact portion contacting second contact sites ?3 and ?4 formed on the attachment portion. Since the strainer includes the engagement portions m1 in contact with the first contact sites ?1 and ?2 and the contact portion in contact with the second contact sites ?3 and ?4, the sleeve has sufficient sealing contact with the strainer 73 at the first and second contact sites ?1 to ?4.

  • Publication number: 20100301248
Abstract: A spool is constituted by an outer spool 60 for opening and closing ports 52, 54, 56 provided in a sleeve 50 and an inner spool 70 that is contacted by a shaft 38 of a solenoid portion 30 and opens and closes a feedback chamber 58. A spring 80, which is interposed between the outer spool 60 and the inner spool 70, is designed to be capable of receiving precisely a total load of a load applied to the outer spool 60 by a feedback force generated when an output pressure reaches a predetermined pressure P1 and a load applied to the outer spool 60 by a biasing force of a spring 44. Therefore, by pushing the inner spool 70 using the solenoid portion 30 such that the outer spool 60 is moved in an axial direction via the spring 80, the respective ports 52, 54, 56 can be opened and closed, and the feedback chamber 58 can be opened from a closed state by the biasing force of the spring 80.

  • Patent number: 6929584
Abstract: A switching valve is provided which operates hydraulic friction engaging elements in a combination to establish a fifth speed “5th” when in a first position, and in a combination to establish a third speed “3rd” when in a second position, when a first electromagnetic valve to a fifth electromagnetic valve fail so as to stop operating. As a result, in the event of failure while driving, the fifth speed “5th” is first established to enable the vehicle to continue running. Then, when the position of a manual valve is changed by an operation by the driver when the vehicle is stopped or the like, the switching valve shifts a transmission into the third speed “3rd”, which has a larger gear ratio than the fifth speed “5th”, to ensure the driving force required to take off again.

  • Publication number: 20040140443
Abstract: In a hydraulic control apparatus, a valve accommodation hole of a valve body also serves as a sleeve, and a spool is fitted in the valve accommodation hole. Therefore, the size of the valve accommodation hole is reduced by an amount corresponding to the thickness of the sleeve, thus reducing the weight and size of the hydraulic control apparatus. Also, a solenoid portion is detachably fixed to the valve body with a snap-fastener. Accordingly, in the case of a failure of the solenoid valve, only one of the solenoid portion and the spool can be easily replaced depending upon the type of the failure by canceling fixation with the snap-fastener.

  • Patent number: 5947155
Abstract: A linear solenoid valve is composed of a pressure regulating section and an actuator section. In the pressure regulating section, a valve spool is slidably disposed and is biased in one direction by a single elastic member. The actuator section generates a thrust force and transmits that generated thrust force in an opposite direction to the pressure regulating section via a shaft. The actuator section is a movable magnet type linear actuator which includes three serially disposed coils and two permanent magnets disposed within the coils with like poles of the permanent magnets facing each other. The linear solenoid valve generates a stable control pressure which is large in proportion to input current, while generation of hysteresis and of radial load in the actuator section is avoided and responsiveness is improved.

  • Patent number: 5868167
Abstract: A pressure regulating valve in a hydraulic control system for an automatic transmission according including a pressure regulating unit having a spool made slidable in a valve sleeve 10. An electromagnetic unit for causing a hollow core (or stator) is provided to attract a plunger (or movable element) arranged on a push rod communicating with the spool. The spool is moved by a spool moving mechanism in a direction to increase the flow from an input port to an output port to thereby raise an output pressure from an output port when the output pressure is lowered by a leakage. The spool position is controlled to control the output pressure in accordance with a balance among a spring force of spring means fitted in the valve sleeve, a feedback force resulting from the output pressure, and an electromagnetic attraction to be established in response to an electric signal provided to the electromagnetic unit having the hollow core and the plunger.

  • Patent number: 5848613
Abstract: An electromagnetic pressure regulating valve includes a hollow core, a coil surrounding the core and a plunger for applying a load to a valve member through a shaft fitted in the hollow of the core, so that the pressure regulating valve is actuated when an electric signal is fed to the coil. A bushing is mounted in the hollow portion of the core for supporting the shaft for sliding relative to the core and is made of a resin material on at least its sliding face contacting the shaft. An oil passage is provided in the valve for circulating a lubricant to lubricate the areas of sliding contact between the bushing and the shaft.
