  • Patent number: 5569545
Abstract: A copper clad laminate having a bonded side ensuring powerful adhesion between the copper foil and insulating layer, without providing protrusions on the copper foil or making roughing treatment or black treatment, by designing such a configuration that the copper foil has a metal layer on the side to be bonded with the insulating layer and the metal layer and insulating layer are cross-linked with each other by chemical bonds through sulfur atoms. Further, there is provided a multilayer printed circuit board which has a bonded side ensuring a powerful adhesion of the circuit copper foil and insulating layer, by designing such a configuration that the alternating metal layers and insulating layers are cross-linked with each other by chemical bonds through sulfur atoms.

  • Patent number: 4824509
Abstract: In order to apply pressure and heat to a sheet material as required in the manufacture of a laminated sheet material, the sheet material is conveyed in through an entrance opening of a pressure vessel, along through an interior space thereof, and out through an exit opening thereof, substantially filled with a pressure medium which is maintained at a temperature above its melting point in the interior space of the pressure vessel, but is maintained at a temperature below its melting point in the entrance and exit openings of the pressure vessel, so as to accomplish sealing in such zones by solidification of the pressure medium, whereby enabling continuously to treat a long sheet material under constant application of pressure and heat over a relatively long time period in which respective portions of the sheet material traverse the pressure vessel.

  • Patent number: 4734155
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a laminated plate material by compression forming, in which material for lamination is sandwiched between two pressure plates, and a layer of fluid pressure medium is sandwiched between said material for lamination and one of said pressure plates and is pressurized so as to pressurize said material for lamination. Thereby, the pressure is well distributed over the superficies of the material for lamination, thus ensuring a good and uniform product. A device is also disclosed for performing the method.

  • Patent number: 4428995
Abstract: At both ends of glass cloth comprising warp yarns consisting of a number of glass monofilaments and weft yarns consisting of a number of glass monofilaments, the weft yarns being cut at the ends of the glass cloth, glass monofilament-fixing portions are formed by fusing the ends of the weft yarns, by substituting a synthetic resin yarn for the warp yarn at the end of the glass cloth and melting the synthetic resin yarn or by attaching an adhesive tape to the ends of the glass cloth. The glass cloth having the glass monofilament-fixing portions at both ends thereof is advantageous in that no broken pieces of glass monofilament were formed when preparing prepreg or laminate using the glass cloth, and the laminate has excellent accuracy of thickness.
