  • Patent number: 5646384
Abstract: A turn signal cancel device includes a body to which is mounted a bracket including an operation lever and a back plate mounted thereto. In the bracket, there are provided balls and, if the balls are engaged with a moderation member, then the bracket can be held at its right turn direction position. Also, a ratchet is disposed in the body and, if the ratchet is rotated, then the surface to be pressed of the back plate is pressed by the pressure surface of the ratchet so that the bracket is rotated and returned to its neutral position. In this case, the ratchet includes an inclined pressure surface and, as the ratchet is rotated, the contact portion between the pressure surface of the ratchet and the surface to be pressed of the back plate is moved from a point .alpha. in the ratchet to a point .alpha.'.

  • Patent number: 5406253
Abstract: A direction-indicating device for use in a vehicle, in which at least one of engaging Portions at both end portions of a ratchet includes: a first surface, which is shoved by a cam-protruding portion located on a canceling cam, when a bracket remains pivoted to either a counterclockwise position or a clockwise position, and further the canceling cam is turned in the same direction as the bracket; a second surface, against which the cam-protruding portion scrapes when the cam-protruding portion is driven into further movement in the orientation of the bracket after passing over the first surface upon movement of the ratchet due to thrusting of the cam-protruding portion at the first surface; and, a third surface, with which the cam-protruding portion is moved into engagement when the bracket remains pivoted to either the counterclockwise position or the clockwise position while the canceling cam is turned in a direction opposite to that of the bracket, the bracket being pivoted to the neutral position because

  • Patent number: 5111006
Abstract: A switch device for a power driven seat of a vehicle wherein the position of the seat is adjusted by the driving force of a motor. A first control knob three-dimensionally representing the shape of the seat cushion and a second control knob three-dimensionally representing the shape of the seat back are provided. These knobs are capable of moving relative to each other, and the movement of each of the knobs by an occupant is detected by a limit switch. Therefore, when the passenger intends to move each portion of the seat, it is necessary to move the first and the second control knobs in the desired direction of the seat. As a result, the seat is moved.

  • Patent number: 5034572
Abstract: In a switch device in which four switches are operated by depression of four depressing surfaces which are defined by diagonal lines on a rectangular operating knob, the four switches comprise: four principal contact assemblies which are each arranged in such a manner as to be aligned with one of the depressing surfaces to form part of the switches, and each respective principal contact assembly is turned on when the corresponding depressing surface is depressed; and two common contact assemblies which are arranged at substantially opposite ends of one of the diagonal lines of the operating knob in such a manner that each of the two common contact assemblies is aligned with two adjacent ones of the depressing surfaces to form part of two adjacent switches, and each common contact assembly is turned on by depression of any one of the two adjacent depressing surfaces, which results in a switch device that is simple in construction and low in manufacturing cost.
