Abstract: A method for applying a label, and a label for in-mold molding which comprises a printed layer formed on a surface of a non-oriented plastic base film over which a membrane layer for bonding to be welded by the heat of molded article at the time of the in-mold molding is overlapped. The label is inserted into a mold for the in-mold molding, the label is held on the proper position in the mold by vacuum suction, or by static electricity, and a moldable article, such as a container, is molded by injecting, filling the plastics into the mold or by expanding a parison which was placed in the mold.

Abstract: This invention relates to process for preparing saturated polyester resin bottles, that the residual strain of the bottles is reduced and the deforming temperature is elevated. The process is that a heated intermediate material (1) made of a saturated polyester resin is set in a mold (5), then compressed air is blown in the intermediate material (1) to orient the same biaxially, temperature in thus shaped bottle is elevated to a temperature higher than the heating temperature of the intermediate material (1) under the elevated pressure to effect thermal fixing and thereafter the saturated polyester resin bottle (19) is taken out.

Abstract: A biaxially oriented bottle of saturated polyester resin has a disadvantage that the mouth or the part extending from the neck to the shoulder, which is not oriented or is oriented only a little, is much poorer in durability and resistance to the content liquid than the body which is molded under sufficient orientation. Such a disadvantage has been surmounted in this invention by covering the inside of the mouth or the part extending from the neck to the shoulder, which is in direct contact with the content liquid, with a layer which is durable and resistant to the content liquid.

Abstract: Bottles made of saturated polyester resin, particularly polyethylene terephthalate resin, by orientation blow molding exhibit phenomenal properties and characteristics, but suffer from a serious disadvantage in that the bottle neck is greatly inferior in the properties and characteristics to the bottle body, because the neck is molded into the final form without undergoing biaxial orientation. Biaxial orientation gives the bottle body outstanding properties and performance because it causes the molecules of a molding resin material to be arranged in the same direction. Based on this principle, the bottle neck is given the same effect as is produced with biaxial orientation by applying tensile force in a certain direction to the molecules of a molding resin material while it is still in a temperature range at which orientation takes place.
