Publication number: 20190315132Abstract: A printer includes ink heads and an ultraviolet light emitter. The ink heads discharge ultraviolet-curable ink onto a recording medium on a platen. The ultraviolet light emitter is disposed leftward of the ink heads in a main scanning direction. The ultraviolet light emitter emits ultraviolet light to the ultraviolet-curable ink discharged onto the recording medium. The ultraviolet light emitter includes a case, LEDs, and a glass block. The case includes an opening in a portion of the case facing the platen. The LEDs are disposed in the case and emit ultraviolet light toward the recording medium on the table through the opening. The glass block guides the ultraviolet light, emitted from the LEDs, to the opening. A center of the LEDs in the main scanning direction is closer to the ink heads than a center of the glass block in the main scanning direction.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 12, 2019Publication date: October 17, 2019Inventor: Harumichi DOO
