  • Patent number: 11930035
Abstract: An information processing apparatus detects an unauthorized attack and transmits attack detection information concerning the detected attack to a communication control device. The communication control device selects an attack countermeasure instruction associated with an attack detection content that matches the attack detection information and an attack countermeasure function of the information processing apparatus by using the transmitted attack detection information and the attack countermeasure information stored in advance, decides a countermeasure method to be executed against the attack, and transmits the attack countermeasure instruction information including the decided countermeasure method to the information processing apparatus. The information processing apparatus is characterized to decide the countermeasure method to be executed against the attack from the received attack countermeasure instruction information and to execute the decided countermeasure method against the attack.

  • Publication number: 20230388433
Abstract: In an image forming apparatus, personal identification information for identifying a user is associated with the user and as such registered. If a request for deletion of a registered user is received, whether to forbid reuse of the personal identification information, which is associated with the registered user for which the request for deletion is received, is determined. A request for registration of a user which a piece of personal identification information is associated with is refused in accordance with a determination to forbid reuse of the piece of personal identification information.

  • Publication number: 20230315873
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes: an authenticator that authenticates a user according to a setting value; an acquirer that acquires the setting value; a determiner that determines whether a setting value of an administrator satisfies a rule with respect to authentication information included in the setting value acquired by the acquirer; and a processor that imports the setting value of a user other than the administrator as it is, when importing the setting value acquired by the acquirer, and performs processing of suspending importing, in a case where the determiner determines that the setting value of the administrator does not satisfy the rule.

  • Publication number: 20230156132
Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a storage capable of storing a setting history of a job related to image processing, and a controller that accepts a deletion request of the setting history, in which, when the deletion request of the setting history is accepted, the controller identifies the setting history to be deleted as a deletion target according to whether a user authentication function is effective, and performs deletion control of the identified setting history.

  • Publication number: 20230131005
Abstract: An information processor that keeps confidential information existing in an own device, and includes: a storage that saves data and encrypts the data with an encryption key; first non-secure memory for saving the encryption key; second secure memory that can be mounted additionally to save the encryption key; a display that shows various setting menus; an inputter with which a user makes various types of input; and a controller that controls saving of the encryption key and displaying on the display. When an instruction to save the encryption key in the second memory is input to the inputter in a state where the storage is encrypted and the second memory is mounted, the controller saves the encryption key in the second memory.

  • Patent number: 10834277
Abstract: An image forming apparatus including: an image processor that executes a job; a setting receiver that receives a setting relating to the job; a job controller that receives an execution request relating to a job predetermined for execution of a job relating to one function and causes the image processor to execute the job relating to the one function; a notifier that notifies a user of an end of each of the plurality of jobs; and a notification controller that determines whether to cause the notifier to notify the end of each of the plurality of jobs on the basis of at least one of a setting relating to each of the plurality of jobs and an attribute of an image to be processed.

  • Patent number: 7664145
Abstract: When a beacon (n?1) that is transmitted from a piconet coordinator (PNC) is detected in a MAC layer of the PNC and a MAC layer of a device (DEV), a detection signal is immediately transmitted to a LINK layer. In the LINK layer, a count is made from the detection of the beacon to a predetermined timing to generate a cycle timer. The PNC adds the PNC cycle timer to the subsequent beacon (n) and transmits the beacon to the DEV. In the LINK layer of the DEV, a comparison is made between a DEV cycle timer generated according to the beacon (n?1) and the PNC cycle timer received from the PNC and uses the value of the difference therebetween to correct the DEV cycle timer to be matched with the PNC cycle timer.

  • Patent number: 6587593
Abstract: An image processing device of the present invention is provided with an area position specifying device and a computing device. When the user specifies a desired object by using the area position specifying device, the computing device generates an emphasized image, in which the specified object is emphasized, and a line image, and the computing device further produces a composite image of these images so as to achieve an illustration image. In addition to the line image, the emphasized image is produced so that it is possible to emphasize an object desired by the user regardless of a state of the line image; consequently, it is possible to generate a natural illustration image in accordance with the actual image.
