    Abstract: An image processing device processes a screen displayed on a monitor for a remote conference. The image processing device includes a detecting section, an acquiring section, and a generating section. The detecting section detects a difference between a first screen and a second screen. The acquiring section acquires a snapshot of the first screen and a snapshot of the second screen. The detecting section calculates an amount of change between the first screen and the second screen. When the amount of change between the first screen and the second screen is equal to or greater than a threshold, the generating section generates a document of the snapshot of the first screen acquired by the acquiring section.

The vehicle display portion shows an illustration border line indicative of the outer shape of the vehicle. The outline of the vehicle indicated by the illustration border line is drawn slightly larger than the outer shape of the actual image of the vehicle. This allows margin areas to be formed between the vehicle and its surroundings, thus reducing the possibility of a collision with an obstacle during driving.

A vehicle illustration image is displayed in the area surrounded by the actual images of the portions of the vehicle. Since the vehicle actual images are displayed at the perimeter of the vehicle display portion, it is easy for an operator who views a display screen to recognize the positional relationships between the perimeter of the vehicle and obstacles outside the vehicle perimeter.

The ball lens 30 transforms the intensity distribution of a converging flux of light coming from the condenser lens 23 such that the intensity distribution is lowered at the central area and raised at the peripheral area. A ball lens 31 (light arresting element) is received in an end portion of the light guide plug 15. The ball lens 31 arrests the light coming from the ball lens 30 and makes incidence of such arrested light to an incident end face of the light guide 16. Owing to this feature, the inserting operation of the light guide plug can be performed with ease and without a need of strict accuracy.

    Abstract: An iris recognition system capable of remarkably reducing time taking from an image pickup of an iris image to generation of an iris code and of simplifying the construction is implemented. A sensor 10 comprises a group of pixels arranged in polar coordinates. An iris image is controlled so that the iris image is correctly formed on the sensor 10, particularly, the center of the iris image matches. The inner and outer diameters of the iris are detected according to the iris image formed on the sensor 10, and the difference between the inner diameter and the outer diameter in the radial direction is detected. The number i of pixels of each ring in the case of division into the predetermined number of concentric ring bands is calculated according to the difference. A weighted mean processing part 13 performs a weighted mean operation according to the number i of pixels.
