  • Patent number: 5652555
Abstract: A compact dielectric band elimination filter, which is composed of fewer components and can be produced in fewer production steps, uses a resonator apparatus having a dielectric block with a plurality of throughholes each containing an inner conductor and serving as a resonator. Capacitor electrodes are formed on a main surface of the block such that series-connected resonant capacitors are provided with the inner conductors inside the throughholes. The resonator apparatus is mounted on a substrate of a layered structure having an inductor thereon.

  • Patent number: 5642084
Abstract: A dielectric block having an external conductor on the outer surface and a plurality of holes with internal conductors formed therein; no internal conductors are provided near one end of each of the plurality of holes. Portions of the dielectric block and the external conductor are removed so as to obtain a dielectric resonator having desired resonator characteristics. In another embodiment, portions of the dielectric block are removed so as to bring the external conductor closer to the internal conductors thereby obtaining a dielectric resonator resonant with a desired frequency. The dielectric resonators limit leakage of electromagnetic field and do not require additional parts such as terminals and case.

  • Patent number: 5633617
Abstract: To reduce the number of components and enable the mounting work of a filter unit onto a printed substrate without using a metal case, a filter unit of three-state structure with resonators is constructed in which an electrode is formed on an inner peripheral surface of each through-hole and an outer peripheral surface of a dielectric member except for one end face, and connector terminals each composed of a pin and an insert member are inserted into opening portion of the end face of the through-holes to form a dielectric bandpass filter. An enlarged insert portion is formed in the opening portion of each through-hole so as to form a stepped portion between the insert portion and a non-insert portion. The insert member has the same configuration as that of the insert portion and is inserted and fitted in the insert portion without projecting from the end face. At the same time, the movement of the insert member toward the non-insert portion is restricted by the stepped portion.

  • Patent number: 5537082
Abstract: A compact dielectric resonator apparatus is comprised of a dielectric block having a plurality of mutually parallel throughholes formed therethrough with inner surfaces covered with a conductive film so as to provide coaxial resonators. The degree of coupling between a mutually adjacent pair of such dielectric resonators can be adjusted by forming grooves, a bottomed hole or a slit or burying a conductive plate therebetween in the dielectric block, and varying physical characteristics of such grooves, bottomed hole, slit and/or conductive plate, without changing the separations between the throughholes or the external dimensions of the dielectric block.

  • Patent number: 4987393
Abstract: A filter having an improved frequency adjustment construction which is capable of conforming the frequencies of the resonators with better accuracy through improvements in the accuracy of the sizes of the electrodes used for frequency adjustment, and through better stabilizng of the filter characteristics through forming a positive connection between each electrode for adjustment use and the corresponding inner conductive film. Electrodes for adjustment use are formed on a base plate, which is a separate unit from the dielectric block, so as to connect them with the respective resonators through coupling members, whereby the size accuracy of the electrodes for adjustment use is improved so as to considerably improve the frequency adjustment accuracy. Also, the connection between the electrodes for adjustment use and the inner conductive films of the respective resonators is positively stabilized to improve the stability of the filter characteristics.

  • Patent number: 4838058
Abstract: Engaging pieces of plates pivotally mounted in a lock box are adapted to engage holes or cutouts formed in a slide member slidable between its locked and unlocked positions. When a right card formed with holes and cutouts in right positions is inserted into a card slot, the engaging pieces in engagement with the holes or cutouts are all pushed down by the card, pivot or pins and are disengaged out of the holes, while the engaging pieces out of engagement are not pushed by the card owing to the cutouts or holes in the card. Thus the slide member freed from the restraint by the engaging pieces can be slid to its unlocked position to open the lock. When a wrong card is inserted, the engaging pieces out of engagement with the slide member will be pushed by the card and engage the slide member, restraining it from moving. Thus the lock cannot be opened.

  • Patent number: 4398164
Abstract: A 1/4 wave length coaxial resonator comprises an outer cylindrical portion, an inner cylindrical portion positioned coaxially in the outer cylindrical portion, with the outer and inner cylindrical portions connected at one end by a radial connecting portion, and a dielectric unit disposed therebetween. The outer cylindrical portion and the inner cylindrical portion and the radial connecting portion are formed with a unitary member of a metallic extruded material formed by means of an impact extruding process so that the inner cylindrical portion is positioned coaxially in the outer cylindrical portion. As a result, a space is formed between the outer cylindrical portion and the inner cylindrical portion to allow for insertion of a hollow cylindrical dielectric unit.

  • Patent number: 4245198
Abstract: A filter device has two filters for filtering or separating two high-frequency signals having different frequencies. Each filter comprises a plurality of quarterwavelength coaxial resonators, cables for connecting the filters with terminals, and a casing for accommodating the two filters. Either the respective input cables or the respective output cables of the two filters are joined in a tee joint. The casing is constituted of two cooperating blocks each having grooves to precisely accommodate the two filters and the cables. The two-part casing maintains the tee joint and obviates the need for a conventional T-shaped metallic coupling member, and makes manufacture very easy.
