  • Patent number: 5250966
Abstract: An ophthalmic photographing apparatus comprises an illumination optical system for illuminating an eye to be tested, a viewing optical system having a variable magnification optical system for viewing the illuminated eye to be tested, and a photographing device detachably mounted on the viewing optical system. A position change of a predetermined part due to the change of magnification of the variable magnification optical system is measured to produce a signal representing the displacement. The signal representing the magnification of the variable magnification optical system is used to control an intensity of a flash light.

  • Patent number: 5040290
Abstract: A vehicle door mounting system mounts a door on a vehicle body by bringing a hinge member on the door into engagement with a hinge member on the vehicle body and inserting a hinge pin into hinge pin holes of the hinge members. The mounting system has a robot, and a door holding jig and a hinge pin inserting jig which are mounted on the robot. The robot is arranged so that it brings the door to a predetermined position with respect to the vehicle body where the hinge member on the door is engaged with the hinge member on the vehicle body while the door holding jig holds the door. The hinge pin inserting jig is separable from the door holding jig and is moved between an operative position where it inserts the hinge pin into the hinge pin holes and a hinge pin setting position where the hinge pin is set to the hinge pin inserting jig.

  • Patent number: 4961257
Abstract: A door assembling apparatus for use in automobile assembly having a door transport unit for conveying a door and for maintaining a hinge member of a vehicle body and a corresponding hinge member of a door loosely engaged with each other, a hinge-pin attaching unit for inserting a gib-headed hinge pin through the engaged hinge members, and a stopper for receiving a leading end of the hinge pin as being projected from and through the engaged hinge members. The leading end of the hinge pin increases in diameter through plastic deformation thereof by the contact with the stopper, and this increased diameter effectively prevents disengagement of the pin from the hinge members. With these features, the anti-disengagement operation can be effected very efficiently and conveniently through the plastic deformation of the leading end of the pin which is realized by effectively utilizing the original function of the hinge-pin attaching means, i.e. the function for causing the hinge pin to enter the hinge members.

  • Patent number: 4589184
Abstract: A method of mounting parts to both sides of a main body characterized by moving a carriage at a predetermined speed along a specified path of transport with the main body placed on the carriage; moving a pair of movable tables in synchronism with the carriage in the same direction as the movement thereof, the movable tables being disposed at opposite sides of the transport path and each carrying at least one robot and an assembling device; causing the movable tables to support the main body during the synchronized movement; setting a part held by the robot in a specified position on the main body; attaching the part to the main body by the assembling device; and thereafter delivering the main body from the movable tables onto the carriage. Since the carriage is moved during the assembly of parts, this method assures the assembly line of a high-speed operation.
