  • Publication number: 20090011879
Abstract: To reduce the bending stress acting on a bracket in a chain tensioner or chain guide when a chain is traveling, a bracket of a chain tensioner is provided with a laterally symmetrical transverse-sectional shape by bending one thin sheet of sheet metal having a thickness of preferably no more than 1 mm. The transverse-sectional shape is configured by a shoe mounting part and an upright wall part which projects to the back surface thereof, the structure of each of these comprising two layers of sheet metal, and the two sheets of sheet metal are fixedly attached by spot welding or the like, for example, at the upright wall part. The transverse-sectional shape includes substantially an “I” shape, “T” shape or triangular shape.

  • Patent number: 5980420
Abstract: A toroidal type continuously variable transmission whose gear ratio is varied by changing the position of a trunnion is provided with double-slider valves driven by stepping motors and linear solenoid valves. The gear ratio control is performed by controlling position of the double-slider valves when the vehicle travels at speeds higher than a specified speed or by controlling directly line and relief pressures applied to the trunnion through the solenoid valves.

  • Patent number: 4810200
Abstract: A connector apparatus comprises a header connector, into which an IC pack is loaded and from which it is unloaded, and an ejector unit detachably mounted on the header connector. The header connector includes a locking lever having a protrusion which is adapted to engage a locking notch in the surface of the IC pack, when the IC pack is loaded. The ejector unit includes a base attached to one surface of the heater connector, a push lever attached to one side portion of the base, so as to be movable in the loading or unloading direction of the IC pack, an unlocking lever formed integrally on the push lever and adapted to engage the locking lever, when the push lever moves in the pack-loading direction, and an eject member movably mounted on the base and having an eject portion adapted to move in the pack-unloading direction as the push lever moves in the pack-loading direction.

  • Patent number: 4725698
Abstract: A connector device is disclosed which can branch or terminate signal lines for making a mutual connection among a plurality of units. The connector device includes switches between signal line connection terminals so that the connector may serve as both a branch connector and a strap connector. A hook is provided on a body case of the connector device and usable in interlock with the switch. A groove engageable with the hook is formed on a connector element case for external circuit connection so that through the selective engagement of the hook with the groove the element case is prevented from being inadvertently detached from the body case. During the detachment of the element case, the contact pin is placed in a short-circuited state at all times. A terminating connector device is also disclosed which is comprised of a combination of a connector body with first and second connector elements. The connector body includes first and second pairs of terminal.

  • Patent number: 4721484
Abstract: A connector device comprises a plug pin and a receptacle for receiving the plug pin therein. The receptacle is bent into a substantially rectangular parallelepiped configuration such that a pair of parallel elastic contact sections are formed at one side of a pair of opposite sides of the rectangular parallelepiped. The plug pin is also of a substantially rectangular configuration in cross section to permit it to be elastically sandwiched between the aforementioned opposite sides of the receptacle. The plug pin is so formed as to have arcuate side edges at its side face which is contacted by the pair of elastic contact sections.

  • Patent number: 4720277
Abstract: A receptacle is disclosed which includes first and second rectangular frames each having a rectangular opening, so that a plug pin can be detachably inserted into the receptacle through the first rectangular frame. The first rectangular frame is connected to the second rectangular frame through a pair of leaf spring pieces. The pair of leaf spring pieces are inwardly curved toward each other so that the plug pin, when inserted into the receptacle, is electrically connected to the receptacle, and said plug pin is elastically retained between the inwardly curved portions of the leaf spring pieces.
