Abstract: An image forming apparatus of an improved construction, which comprises a viewable image forming medium to form a viewable image on a recording sheet; storage members for accommodating a plurality of sheets of the recording material; processing device for forming an image onto the recording sheet fed from the storage member by use of the viewable image forming medium; and control device for enabling the image forming operation to be continued until the storage members are dismounted from the apparatus, even though the viewable image forming medium falls short.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus such as a laser beam printer has a laser mechanism, an optical system for forming a latent image on a photosensitive drum, a separation charge eliminator for separating a transfer material with a toner image transferred thereonto from the drum, and a printer controller for controlling the print operation. A high voltage is applied to the charge eliminator for a non-image zone of the original, and a low voltage is applied for an image zone of the original. The application voltage for the charge eliminator is obtained by superposing a DC voltage on an AC voltage. A system including a reader, a CCU, and a printer is also provided.

Abstract: This specification discloses an image recording apparatus provided with a developing sleeve for guiding and supplying charged toner to cause the charged toner to adhere to an electrostatic latent image on the surface of a photosensitive medium, and means for detecting the feed of multiple transfer sheets, wherein the developing sleeve is provided so as to enable the change over to a potential for releasing the supply of the toner to the photosensitive medium by the adherence of the toner thereto and the change-over is effected in response to the detecting operation of the multi-copy feed detecting means.
