Abstract: It is provided a surface-treated steel sheet that can be produced without using hexavalent chromium and has excellent sulfide staining resistance and coating secondary adhesion. It is a surface-treated steel sheet having: a Sn plating layer; a metallic Cr layer disposed on the Sn plating layer; and a Cr oxide layer disposed on the metallic Cr layer, on at least one surface of a steel sheet, and the surface-treated steel sheet has a water contact angle of 50° or less and a total atomic ratio of K, Na, Mg, and Ca adsorbed on the surface to Cr of 5% or less.

Abstract: When sheets are taken into a machine or discharged from the machine, characteristics of these sheets such as letters or symbols of these sheets are read by a sheet characteristics reading unit. A result of reading the characteristics is stored in a storage unit. When characteristics of a sheet are not able to be read at the time of accommodating sheets, this sheet is returned and only sheets of which characteristics have been able to be read are taken into the machine. Sheets of which characteristics are not able to be read at the time of discharging sheets are specified by a unit for specifying sheets of which characteristics can not be read. By this arrangement, each sheet in the machine is always managed.

Abstract: At least one automaton for collectively controlling media inclusive of notes in a shop is located in a first corner, at least one automaton operated by customers is located in a second corner and at least one automaton operated by a clerk who is contacting or negotiating with a customer is located in a third corner. The automatons in individual corners are interconnected together by a sheet conveyor for aligning and conveying the media such as notes one by one. The amount of media stored in each automaton in each corner is always supervised and media are conveyed between automatons, as necessary, to effect supplementation/withdrawal of media. Furthermore, sheets are conveyed between opposed magnetic belts.

Abstract: A sheet dealing apparatus feeds sheets, received within the apparatus, to a user through a sheet delivery portion by an operation of the user or receives the sheets into the sheet dealing apparatus from the user. Also, this operation may be similarly applied to the sheet delivery mode between the sheet dealing apparatus and another sheet dealing apparatus. The sheet delivery portion is contructed so as to be retractable or extensible with respect to a body of the apparatus. A sheet delivery window formed at the delivery portion is variable in position as necessary.

The user or the customer manipulates the input device of a transaction equipment and inserts a transaction medium such as cash card in the transaction equipment. The transaction equipment then operates to pick up the image data for confirming the user himself, the image data of the transaction medium, and the transaction data as electronic image data which will then be recorded onto a recording medium such as a video tape or an optical disc.

Abstract: A recording apparatus includes a recording head and a drive circuit for driving the recording head. The recording head includes a plurality of main blocks arranged successively in a given direction and a plurality of first and second conductors. The main blocks each include first and second unit recording blocks arranged in the given direction. Each unit recording block includes n recording units arranged in the given direction. One ends of the n recording units are collectively connected to the selection terminal of each unit recording block. The first conductors each connect the other end of the ith (n.gtoreq.i.gtoreq.1) of the first recording block with the other end of the (n+1-i)th recording unit of the second unit recording block. The second conductors connect the corresponding first conductors in the respective main blocks and bears thereon signals to be recorded.
