    Abstract: In a window attaching framework in a building, upper and lower windows are foldably connected together, and one or a plurality of dampers or arms are installed between at least either the upper window or the lower window and the window attaching framework. Such dampers or arms prevents the windows from rapidly moving downward when opened, making it possible to effect smooth opening and closing of the windows.

    Abstract: An upper window and a lower window are bendably connected together within a window attaching framework of a building. The upper end of the upper frame is disconnectable from the lateral frames of the window attaching framework. When the upper window is disconnected from the lateral frames, the window openings increase. Thus, the window openings are suitable for use as emergency escape openings and improve ventilation efficiency.
