  • Publication number: 20050230956
Abstract: An automatic bookmark (1) is composed of a quadrangular base sheet (5), a pair of coupling bodies (6a, 6b) provided on one edge of the base sheet (5), a projecting body (13) provided between the coupling bodies (6a, 6b), elastic bodies (12a, 12b) connected on upper sides (29a, 29b) which are the forward ends of the pair of coupling bodies (6a, 6b) and provided with crease lines (15) in parallel with the upper sides (29a, 29b) and a V-shaped bookmark body (27) connected to the forward ends of the elastic bodies (12a, 12b) to oppose the base sheet (5). In use, this base sheet (5) is put between page sheets of a book, for holding a proper volume of page sheets between the base sheet (5) and the bookmark body (27). Thus, a side of the bookmark body (27) close to the fore edge of the book necessarily becomes a tilting inclining side (11a). Therefore, a turned page sheet comes into contact with the inclining side (11a), so that the bookmark body (27) is smoothly flapped up.

  • Patent number: 4070040
Abstract: A seat belt system for motor vehicles including a rail extending along the vehicle roof in a -shaped path and then down the center pillar. Two belts are carried by their respective carriages which travel in the rail. One belt is engageable halfway of the rail to serve as a shoulder belt whereas the other belt is lockable at the bottom of the rail to serve as a waist belt.

  • Patent number: 4027900
Abstract: Two belts are attached to the free end of a horizontal pivot arm having its base pivotally mounted to the roof of the car. One belt intended for the shoulder belt is fixedly attached to the pivot arm while the other intended for the waist belt is removably attached thereto. The pivot arm is pivoted by a motor from a front-facing position toward the center pillar of the car, pulling these belts. After the pivot arm is pivoted and gets locked, only the waist belt is lowered by transfer means to its operative position where it is stretched across the waist of the seat occupant. The shoulder belt remains there so as to extend diagonally from his waist to shoulder. This invention provides easy-to-handle seat belt assemblies.

  • Patent number: 3977696
Abstract: A seat belt system for a car has a belt which stretches between the lower portion of the side of the car seat and the car's ceiling. At the upper terminal of the belt on the ceiling is a swinging arm or a track, the upper terminal of the belt engaging with a fixing member on the arm or a sliding member slidable along the tract. The rotatable arm is rotatable and the slidable member is slidable to move the upper terminal of the belt from a position in which the belt is out of the way of the seat to a position in which the belt is across a person seated in the seat.
