  • Patent number: 6511774
Abstract: The present invention provides a separator for non-aqueous electrolyte batteries which neither breaks nor slips off at the time of fabrication of battery, gives excellent battery fabricability, causes no internal short-circuit caused by contact between electrodes even if the electrodes are externally short-circuited, can inhibit ignition of battery and produces high energy density and excellent cycle life, and further provides a non-aqueous electrolyte battery using the separator and a method for manufacturing the separator.

  • Patent number: 5427996
Abstract: A heat-sensitive recording sheet superior in color formation and sticking resistance and excellent in storage stabilities such as plasticizer resistance and wet-rub resistance and printability which comprises a support and, provided thereon, a heat-sensitive recording layer and a protective layer is provided by using as a main component of the protective layer in the case of the protective layer comprising one layer a latex having a softening point of 200.degree.-350.degree. C. obtained by polymerizing mainly a specific hydrophobic vinyl monomer in the presence of a polymeric latex having a glass transition temperature of 50.degree. C. or lower and as a main component of the protective layer in the case of the protective layer comprising two or more layers a latex having a softening point of 150.degree.-260.degree. C. in the inner layer(s) and preferably, using in the outermost protective layer said specific latex having a softening point of 200.degree.-350.degree. C.

  • Patent number: 5045523
Abstract: A heat-sensitive recording material comprising a support, a heat-sensitive coloring layer provided thereon and optionally an undercoat layer provided between these two layers, said heat-sensitive coloring layer and/or said undercoat layer comprising specific, spherical, porous, inorganic particles. The heat-sensitive recording material is excellent in that a sufficient optical density can be obtained when printing is carried out with a low energy, and the fused matters do not substantially adhere to the thermal head when the recording material is printed and the optical density is hardly lowered when printing is carried out with a high energy.
