  • Patent number: 7666549
Abstract: An alkaline storage battery of the present invention includes a battery case and a group of electrodes. The battery case is provided with a resin case and a coating layer made of a resin formed on at least one surface selected from an inner surface and an outer surface of the resin case. The hydrogen permeability coefficient of the resin that is the material of the coating layer is 1×10?15 mol·m/m2·sec·Pa or less.

  • Patent number: 6936371
Abstract: A method for recycling a battery pack is provided that enables a degraded battery pack to be replaced at a low cost while maintaining the advantages of a conventional sealed-type nickel-metal hydride secondary battery as being free from maintenance or leak of an electrolyte. The battery pack accommodates a battery module having a plurality of cells, which are a sealed-type nickel-metal hydride secondary battery, combined with each other. When the battery pack is judged as being degraded in a market, the battery pack is collected from the market as a battery to be replaced; a cell or battery module judged as being degraded is renewed by adding an electrolyte thereto; the battery module is installed in the battery pack again; and the battery pack is supplied as a replacement battery.

  • Patent number: 6563291
Abstract: An over-charge determining circuit provided for every unit cell generates, a cell over-charge detection signal which becomes high level when a cell voltage is higher than an upper limit value of an allowable voltage range thereof which is set as the threshold value voltage. The threshold value voltage is changed to a lower limit value of the allowable voltage range with which the cell over-charge detection signal surely becomes high level. Even when an output of an AND circuit for obtaining a logical product of the cell over-charge detection signals should become high, if an over-charge determining circuit of which output is fixed to the low level due to a fault of the like exists, the output of the AND circuit becomes low.
