  • Patent number: 4662393
Abstract: A propellant storage construction having a chamber for storing the propellant and a passage leading to the chamber and containing a valve unit therein for opening and closing the passage, the passage having a flow restricting unit therein intermediate the valve unit and the chamber to limit the flow rate of the propellant from the chamber through the valve unit to a certain low flow rate when the valve unit is in an open position to dispense the propellant. The flow restricting unit has a part thereof providing a full flow rate therethrough at a substantially greater flow rate than the certain low flow rate when the valve unit is in an open position to permit a charge of the propellant to be fed through the open valve unit to the chamber for filling the chamber with the propellant.

  • Patent number: 4472152
Abstract: The combination of a frame and an igniter body secured in an opening passing through opposed sides of the frame so that an igniter electrode carried by the igniter body projects beyond one of the sides of the frame and a lead of the igniter electrode extends beyond the other of the sides of the frame. The igniter body is a one-piece member having an integral medial shoulder abutting against the other side of the frame. A fastening member engages the one side of the frame and is operatively interconnected to the ingniter body to hold the shoulder thereof against the other side of the frame.

  • Patent number: 4462424
Abstract: A propellant storage construction having a storing chamber for storing the propellant and a passage leading to the storing chamber and containing a valve unit therein for opening and closing the passage. The construction has a pressure regulator operatively associated with the valve unit for operating the valve unit in relation to the pressure of the propellant, the pressure regulator comprising a self-contained capsule having a movable wall for engaging the valve unit and an opposed wall spaced therefrom by a side wall. The construction has a wall cooperating with the capsule to define an output chamber for receiving propellant dispensed from the storing chamber through the valve unit. An annular sealing member is disposed between and against the capsule and the wall to define the output chamber therebetween.

  • Patent number: 4374338
Abstract: The combination of an igniter body and an outer target bracket that has a target electrode disposed in spaced relation to an igniter electrode carried by the igniter body to define a spark gap therewith and that has a mounting portion for securing the bracket to a frame adjacent the igniter body to provide the spark gap, the target bracket having holding tabs holding the igniter body therein to provide a self-contained assembly that can be subsequently secured as a single unit to the frame by the mounting portion of the target bracket. The target bracket has slots therethrough defining opposed surfaces of the target bracket and respectively receiving abutments of the igniter body therethrough, the tabs respectively being engageable with the abutments and defining one of the opposed surfaces of the bracket.

  • Patent number: 4363015
Abstract: A condition responsive electrical switch construction having a frame carrying an electrical switch and a condition responsive device having a movable wall for causing movement of a lever that is pivotally carried by the frame and is operatively associated with the switch to operate the same as the lever is moved by the wall to a certain position in opposition to the force of a range spring also carried by the frame. A cradle-like member has a base operatively associated with the range spring so as to be held thereby against the wall to be moved in unison with the wall and has arms engaging the lever to cause the lever to move in relation to movement of the wall. The switch has a pair of movable contact members disposed on opposite sides of a fixed contact member and each is biased in a direction to tend to place the same in contact with the fixed contact member and each having an offset loop therein.

  • Patent number: 4274546
Abstract: A housing construction for an electrical switch construction having one housing member partially telescoped inside another housing member to have a pair of opposed ears on the one housing member respectively project through a pair of opposed slots in the other housing member together with a cover member secured to one of the housing members to hold the same in their assembled and telescoped relation. Each slot is defined in part by a pair of opposed surfaces one of which comprises a flexible biasing section. Each ear has opposed edges respectively press-fitted between the opposed surfaces of its respective slot and flexing the biasing section thereof outwardly from its respective other surface whereby the biasing sections hold one of the edges of the ears against the other surface of the slots.
